Lakers resume playoff push vs GSW; Bucks, Celtics & 76ers odds to win ECF | NBA | FIRST THINGS FIRST

Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes discuss the Los Angeles Lakers odds to qualify for the NBA playoffs. The LeBron James led Lakers are currently in 13th place in the West, however HC Darvin Ham expects the team to secure a top 6 seed in the final 23 games of the regular season. The cast also debate which team they think will win the East; Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks or Boston Celtics.

  1. I swear it’s always risky looking at the comments before watching these videos cause one of the top ones is usually a spoiler of a funny moment in it. I’ve never felt this way about a show, especially a sports talk show. People always praise it on every video which is awesome cause it totally deserves it!! 😁 I honestly think it’s passed prime First Take with Skip and Stephen A at this point as the GOAT sports talk show 👌🏻

  2. Why do they have to talk about the Lakers? They're the 13th seed and irrelevant. Why aren't they talking about the magic? Or the Blazers?

  3. One of the most foolish things in sports media is making predictions about which team will win the Eastern or Western Conference or even the finals months before the playoffs begin. Teams are constantly evolving during this period, and these pundits are aware of this fact. However, because predicting outcomes is part of their job, they feel compelled to make these premature predictions despite the inherent uncertainty.

  4. This show has improved dramatically over the past year or so. I never watched with Chris Carter. Always loved Nick. But Chris and Kevin have been great!

  5. Analysis is literally not prognostication. Brou, do you bro. Wildes the Dark Side is creeping into you like Anakin Skywalker, be wary.

  6. The guy in the middle I think forgot the lakers did trades?? And clearly had there best game as a collective unit Vs the pelicans…

  7. Glad they are calling out Broussard on his flip-flopping, the man always hedges his bet and is a prisoner of the moment.

  8. OR you sit bron and AD to tank for wemby. Bron's got the scoring record and AD needs to be healthy to be worth a lot in a trade. There's a lot of superstars that want out of losing situations : Dame, Beal, KAT, and lesser players like Rozier, Trae, Lavine, Derozan. With those guys you can package other role players as well. AD's unhappy there and you want to capitalize on Lebron averaring for one or 2 more years.
