Over the last month, the Grizzlies have a league-worst 4th quarter net rating of -14.6, league-worst 4thQ offensive rating of 100.4, league-worst 4thQ 3p% of 26.7%, and have lost 8 straight on the road. They’re young but these issues are more than youth.

Maybe we shouldn’t sit our best players for half the quarter and make them come in cold vs the other team’s closing lineup

It coincides with the lack of Adams. Without Adams half court offense is brutal

Our half court offense has been terrible since we got Adams last year. That was the primary concern going into last playoffs, it’s shameful that’s it’s still an issue. Can’t be that reliant on Adams, need coaching to change somehow

They have the same blueprint every 4th quarter and other teams have worked them out.
Ja comes in with 6 to 8 mins to go he comes in with no rhythm then they play ja iso ball its not all on him we have a good team use them.

Solution: play basketball in thirds and take away the 3pt line

As title says, we are 26.7% from 3. We always move away from the paint and try to beat zone with the 3, and it always fails. Most of our losses happen when we shoot over 30 threes. So it wasn’t surprising to hear late in the 4th that we had missed the last 10 threes. That was before the last 3 at the end.

This team struggles with zone because of the 3 ball, mid range shots, and most importantly, ball movement.

This team is not set up for half court team passing where they pass a guy open. We’re set up to attack the paint with kickouts from Ja or Tyus run in circles to get someone open.

The first time I saw great ball movement came from Tyus/Bane/ Kennard vs Utah

And yet someone gets upset when it’s pointed out that the Grizzlies are heading for a first round exit
