I would hate to carry on long past my partner at the age of 92.

As a cable guy, I got to fix her TV one time. She seemed like one of the sweetest and classiest people I’ve ever met. The Shchonz was a lucky guy… 😢

Same thing happen with my grandparents about a year ago. Both in 90s, First grandma went, then grandpa about a month later. Kinda an amazing thing if you ask me. Miss you Grandma and Grandpa!

Let me tell you a cool story:
In March of 2013, my friend moved to Phoenix. I decided to fly down there to help him unpack. It just so happened that the Blazers were in town, so we got some tickets.
At halftime, I had to pee like a race horse so I jumped up and started heading towards the 🚻. As I’m heading up, Bill and Dottie Schonely are heading down. I didn’t know Dottie’s name at the time, so all I could muster was, “Bill?!” Dottie quipped, “I think he likes you.” I said, “I REALLY want to stay and talk about Blazers, but I am on a mission to the washroom. Urgent business.” Dottie replied, “Well, I should probably go too… we’ll join you! I’m Dottie btw.”
And so both to and from the bathroom, Bill and I got to talk about Blazers. He answered my burning questions from the Jail Blazer era and fulfilled a childhood dream of mine to talk ball with a broadcasting legend.
RIP both Bill and Dottie. Two absolute legends.
