    – 9PT (4/6 FG), 12REB (2 OREB), 2AST, 1STL, 5BLK, 1PF

    —-

What a joy to watch and one of the most impressive stats is only 1 PF when compared to earlier in the season where he’d usually be in foul trouble

Weā€¦may still be winning too much considering we will not have our frp next year

    But itā€™s fun as hell

  3. So this had happened only once all season, and now it’s 2 consecutive games where the Jazz win after trailing by 9+ at halftime.

    3-14 for the season now.

Dunn was surprisingly good tonight! Letā€™s keep him around and see what happens.

  5. MegaAltarianite

Kris Dunn earning himself a contract it seems.

  6. Con_Man_69

Kess is just a Beast and I love it! Also really liking kris dunn so far.

  7. Lauri with pretty awful game and once again ends up with close to 30 points with 50%/40%/100% splits

  8. HeroofBergen

Dunn has definitely won a season-long contract.

  9. Thamor81

Lauri showed why he is that good as he came clutch in 2nd half hitting dagger 3s.

As a tanking fan, I now want to make the playoffs. I’d rather get pick 17, and get playoff experience for the team, and making Utah looks like a good team for free agents to sign in the offseason with the 60 million salary in the offseason, since the Jazz would be a playoff team, than get pick 12. We also have the Timberwolves pick, and if we make the playoffs the Timberwolves likely don’t, which means we’ll get a lottery pick from the Timberwolves. Would also let Lauri, and Collin make their playoff debuts, after being in the NBA for 6 season. Also Walker, and Ochai gets to make a playoff debut too

Sign Kris Dunn for the rest of the season, maybe next season too

    GAME NOTES:

An insanely slow first quarter (we scored just 5 points 6.5 min into the game) turned around pretty nicely in the third. But man that first half, mainly that first quarter was rough. We struggled to defend and SA made us pay. They shot 52% from the field and 5-10 from 3 that first quarter compared to our 45.5% and 0-4 from 3.

THT had 2 fouls, 0-1 from the field, 2 TO, 1 reb, 1 assist -11 in just 4 minutes in the first quarter. Far from his best game. While he was able to turn it around in the second half going 4-8 since the first quarter, he needs to reign in his turnovers. 12 points, 6 reb, 4 assists, 5 turnovers with 2 blocks.

Kris Dunn is the MVP for me. He came in and dominated. Great defense, getting 1 block and 1 steal, he shot 7-13, had 15 points, 7 rebounds (3 offensive), and 8 assists. All on 0 turnovers. His 23 minutes were key for us coming back into this game and getting a lead back. Impressive for just his second game with us

Clarkson struggled again. 4-13, but was at least able to get 5 assists. He also had 5 turnovers which just isn’t good. Hopefully he snaps out of this funk. Although, it might help us when we renegotiate his contract this off-season if he keeps up these numbers.

Lauri flipped a switch that second half. 20 points int he second half, went from shooting 3-8 (0-2 from 3) in the first half, then going 6-9 (3-5 from 3) in the second half. He wasn’t as dominant on the boards, but I’m glad he took over and got his numbers

Kessler was a beast. 9 points, 12 rebounds, 5 blocks. He can’t be stopped man. Unreal showing form the rookie. What more can I say that hasn’t already been said???

We held the Spurs to just 37 points that second half. Great team effort defensively that started with Nunn and Kessler

Olynyk did his thing. Played slower, had 9 points on 3-6 shooting, and 8 rebounds. He did a good job on the boards against the Spurs, which he hasn’t been able to do consistently.

Fontecchio had a bounceback game. 2-4 shooting, 6-6 from the free throw line for 11 points. He looked more comfortable out there, hopefully his funk is over. I’m glad he tried going inside and had success drawing fouls.

Rudy Gay played with a facemask and shot 4-12 for 8 points. Love that guy! So glad We gave him a big contract with a player option!!!

JTA played 9 minutes and didn’t impact the game in my opinion.

Azubuike had some first half minutes, but again, didn’t do too much. I’m surprised we played him over Jones, but Udoka had 4 poitns 4 rebounds and 1 steal in 8 minutes.

Agbaji had one of his best games of the season. He was driving in, went 4-4 from the free throw line, and still shot 2-5 from 3. He had 8 shots in total, and was a team high +20. He does a great job of defending without fouling, and it continued tonight where he didn’t pick up a single foul.

Still no sign of Frank Jackson so far this season.

As a team, we did a great job of rebounding. We outrebounded the Spurs by 15, and had 6 more Oreb’s than them. We also did a good job passing the ball around, with everybody but Gay and Udoka getting at least an assist. Our defense was absolutely on point that second half.

We were just clicking that second half. Looked like a whole new team out there. shot 7-15 from 3 the second half, had 15 more free throws the second half, and shot 22-42 from the field that second half. We had 9 Oreb’s compared to 6 in the first half, 25 Dreb’s compared to 16 the first half, and 8 blocks compared to 3 in the first half.

This game hurt the tank, but was a culture type win. I’ve come to terms that we won’t get a top 10 pick unless we hit the lottery, but I think we are well ahead of the other lottery teams in terms of pieces and contributors.

31-31 Bitches! Might fuck around and beat the Lakers in the play-in lmao

Dunn was legit our second best player tonight. When you sign a dude to a 10 day and he drops 15/7/8 with terrific defense in his second game, you sign that dude for the rest of the season.

We play .500 ball goddammit. Salt of the earth, punch the clock, even win/loss ratio
basketball. We lose a couple, guess what? We’ll win a couple, too. But
don’t get too excited or let it go to your head. No long winning streaks
here, no sir. That’s hubris, which this blue collar, hard working
everyman team doesn’t have. A few wins in a row, these guys, true to
form, will balance it out with a couple a losses. Yes sir, that’s my
2023 Jazz. A good, honest .500 basketball team.

  14. Sesti-nator

I wanna make a petition to Danny Ainge: sign a 2 year contract with Kris Dunn g#ddamn it!

I donā€™t understand why we have the best outside shooter in the league and donā€™t let him take more than one per season
