> [[@Timb3r_Wolf] Maybe I’m the last one standing on this, wouldn’t want to fire Chris Finch. KAT being out, integrating Gobert, mid season trade, best player is 21, best defender is 22.. I mean what you expect? I would like at least one more full season of Finch. At LEAST.](https://twitter.com/Timb3r_Wolf/status/1629621677733576704?t=7–_Nb23hHwhr7_aoklcVg&s=19)

The last thing this team needs is more inconsistency. I guess Wolves fans are just used to scapegoating people for under performing but typically underperforming is like 14th in the west. This is like our 3rd best season since 2004, the grass isn’t always greener

  2. It’s tough

Definitely shouldn’t fire finch but it would be nice if he could coach some discipline into the team

  3. wet_jumper

Hard to argue against facts. My only criticism is when he sticks with lineups that obviously don’t work.

  4. soyworld

thats a good way to put it, “fine”. i think hes showing his ceiling as a coach. wouldnt say fire him until we see the team with kat first.

  5. Longjumping-Isopod18

Yes, I don’t get why people are so keen to fire him. He’s the best coach we’ve had in a long time. This team just does not have enough offense minus Kat and D’lo. Who is this team’s second best scorer right now? It’s basically Ant and a lot of solid role players. This team needs KAT and without him any judgements are premature.

Is there a better coach available? Honestly we have small window but if there is coach with better game adjustment and can dicipline player better we should go for it

the only worthy argument in my mind that would support moving on from finch is the idea that his free flowing laidback style doesnt instill the discipline needed to win at the highest highest level. at least with an ant-focused team

everything else people here whine about is radio-caller esque ‘why didnt they just call the good play instead’ drivel

All of these facts ignore the manner in which we lose games. Finch may be an acceptable coach, but he isn’t above average.

  9. blocking_butterfly

I don’t know that I agree, but it’s an interesting argument for sure. Results-based analysis isn’t everything, but it’s hardly nothing.

Hornets beating Miami tonight too. Just taking names on conference 7th seeds.

  11. Skolcialism

Ok all of this makes sense, but what about the part where I am very very mad

  12. Aggravating_Click495

It would be worth a call to Phillip Jackson and see if he’s interested.

I wouldn’t fire him. He has the ear of his star players and that’s huge. Not sure what the solution is but it’s not firing him bc Wolves need stability. Can a player or assistant coach speak up more maybe?

A big issue is the long leash on struggling lineups…he doesn’t make adjustments even if the other team is going on a run. Rotations can be infuriating. Lack of timeouts isn’t solely why a team loses but it’s a big part of stopping opponent runs. Wolves scored 5 points, the arena got LOUD and Hornets called a timeout. I got so jealous bc right before Hornets went on a run and Finch did nothing. You can’t win if you don’t stop opponent runs and call timeouts too late when the game is already out of reach. Calling a timeout *after* WAS makes a run + scores 2 threes to get the lead will contribute to losing games. That 21-0 run is unforgivable. It’s infuriating bc he just lets the guys drown. It took GLUE GIRL to stop a Clippers run and get the Wolves back on track, bc Finch won’t do it.

Hope someone speaks up to him, bc idk what the solution is and it’s not firing him.

Fr. We don’t need to act like Lakers fans when we hit any point of adversity.

Some people in this sub need to see a certified therapist.

Seriously relax. Your bickering here won’t have any direct impact on the game performance nor will the front office take your personal opinions into action

Understand the circumstance we’re in right now and appreciate what we have

  16. Lmnolmnop

    Still has to go, imo.

Call up Vogel, or Juwan. We need next level, not Paul Westphal lite.

  17. upthebet

But night in and night out, you see the reasons we are not a championship team.

Regardless of how much he has “turned” things around, he has also had some serious WTF moments this season.

I’d prefer if the team were good
