I was a Tank fan for about a month or so leading up to the deadline, but now that there seems (?) to be a direction chosen, it doesn’t make sense to me to continue rooting or a tank because we’re too far from desired odds to land a topish pick.
I still think we need a taller more pass first PG, but I like Fred a heck of a lot more with Yak.

I really don’t get the tank crew. I always want to cheer for my team to win no matter what. And I’ve seen way too many 1st overall picks be busts. And, what, if we literally lose almost every game for the rest of the season, we still won’t even be lower than Houston, SA, Detroit, Charlotte, maybe even Orlando. So what would be the point there? The odds of getting first overall are way too low.

But there’s also a chance they upset the high seed and we’ll all remember that moment for years to come.

I really don’t understand compete fans. Tanking gives the best odds of landing top tier talent that you need to compete for a title, especially if you aren’t a free agent destination.
I want to see the Raps do a full tear down and rebuild around Scottie. Our FO, scouts, development staff are all top notch. Worst case scenario is that we build a perennial first round exit team like what we have here with this roster. Building a playoff team isn’t that difficult in the East. The Knicks are just Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson and scrubs and they’re comfortably the 5th seed right now.

I’ve accepted the fact that our roster are the ugly ducklings of the nba and none of our players are flashy. I’m hoping we can get through the play in and upset atleast one team in the playoffs.
I follow the Canucks and the raptors. Both teams in a similar spot but it seems like the raptors are more close to the middle of the pack so team tank makes no sense. The Canucks on the other hand is shit so team tank for us. Both were in the same predicament on trading their star players by the deadline… Bo horvat gone and OG or Fred were supposed to be gone but they got the Yak so guess not 🙂
