I hope to god that isn’t the case. Not with those shooting percentages

  2. Idk about him being a 25ppg guy, but when we get another consistent creator next to him his efficiency should go up and his work load should get lighter.

  3. lol cmon on now, with the development of Sochan and Malaki and the emergence of Devin and a potential franchise player (w/ scoot n wemby) and good scoring role players (graham, dougie, and collins i cant see keldon ever averaging 25

The spurs are going to be so tough in two years , patience is key.

Even though ppl don’t agree with u, I appreciate the keldon love cuz a lot of fans giving up on him and some even hating. Which I can’t stand cuz he’s the most likeable guy on the roster

The disrespect by a lot of casual spurs fans has been so frustrating to see/hear….. it’s a tanking season and he’s been left on a island in most games with Vassell out and ppl are saying we should “trade him” and “he’s fallen off and should be traded” etc.. because he isn’t dropping 30+ a night. Ppl act like he wouldn’t be an absolutely amazing 3rd option on a playoff team. Him having Vassell and hopefully Wemby or Scoot next season will give him so many more east buckets and conserve energy for defense.

  7. He def could, doesn’t mean he should though. Keldon isn’t a born scorer, he just does it because we don’t have a lot of options. He would be best in a role averaging around 16ppg, focusing on rebounding and hitting open threes, while improving his defense, imo.

Is he scoring this much on a team that wins games or a team that’s tanking?

The bittersweet part of Keldon losing his 3 point jumper this season is that he’s really improved his finishing around the rim & in the paint. When he gets his 3-point stroke back he’ll be a more complete player. I can definitely see him averaging 20+ ppg on good efficiency longer term as long as he can get his stroke back.

He clearly ‘”can’ be a 25ppg scorer IMO, but I think that would be at the detriment to the team.

From what we have seen so far – having Keldon as your primary, or even secondary, scoring option is not going to help you have an efficient offence that can win you enough games to be successful.

I think Keldon looks much better when he is that 3rd, or even 4th, scoring option getting open and attacking closeouts. This team being successful will hopefully have him in that sort of role, scoring 16-20ppg. And ideally he improves his defence when he is not taking on the same offensive load (this year), or being forced to defend bigger 4s (the last couple of years).
