North Carolina vs. Duke: The Duke Blue Devils made it a regular season sweep of the rival North Carolina Tar Heels with the 62-57 win in Chapel Hill on Saturday. Kyle Filipowski led the way for the Blue Devils with a game-high 22 points and 13 rebounds in the game. Tyrese Proctor added 13 points and Jeremy Roach and Mark Mitchell each chipped in 10 points for Jon Scheyer’s club. Armando Bacot and RJ Davis each scored 17 points as the Heels battled with their bitter rivals. Bacot also added 11 rebounds and 4 blocks in the loss.

Hubert Davis has these guys playing without any kind of system at all out there. I do have to say that Nance is a total bust though. With a real PF we'd be a top 10 team right now. Otherwise every other player is having to totally compensate for Nance's deficiencies and we don't have the size/experience to replace him out there. And our offense is totally not designed traditionally to run without a PF at the center of it. The reality is we recruited terribly at PF from '17-'22. Without Manek as a transfer and with Day'Ron Sharpe leaving for the NBA after his freshman season, I'm not sure what we'd have been like after Luke Maye graduated with other guys turning out to be busts. And with Washington having no experience as a freshman we're really weak at that position right now.

I blame Coach Davis for not utilizing his bench throughout the course of this season! Washington, Nickels, Dunn, Styles, should have been getting quality minutes to prepare them for conference play and deeper. Tough loss to those Turds for a bid to the dance!

Both teams aren't very good but give Duke credit they were a tab better. Hubert Davis has lost respect from his players by not sticking up for them. Sometimes a technical foul would help. You don't have to use profanity to get one but it makes it faster. Bad decision to hire him from the start. Too religiously occupied instead of coaching. Bill Self looses 70 pct of his offense an still wins the toughest conference in America. This boiled down to coaches. If you want to help these kids you have to make decisions to sit them when they aren't playing with no passion. AAU doesn't work on the big stage an this is what you have here. Everyone trying to one up the other. Up by four with the ball an how many times we seen that. At some point you have to call timeout to tell the kids look no 3s nothing but inside looks or sit on the bench. Davis just looks overwhelmed.
