Maybe it’s because like 50% of the team got hurt during the losing streak and they couldn’t regain chemistry?
This team is, first of all, badly constructed. Too many wings, not enough shooters and playmakers, and no shot blockers at all. Take a look at similarly constructed teams such as Raptors and Clippers, they are all underachieving.
Sounds like this team is a bunch of PUSC, led by Brandon “giraffe PUSC” Ingram
Don’t blame anyone. That’s what we keep getting told.
Not that deep if the bench can’t score
The problem with the team in my opinion is this:
It’s a strange construction, but a perfect one when Zion is healthy. Zion I’d unique and needs a unique team around him. That’s what we have. Problem is that Zion isn’t available. Whether it be bad luck, or whatever you want to chalk it up to, it is what it is. This team could be a championship contender when he’d on the court. But he hadn’t been. So the roster struggles without him being there because it is only optimized with him on the court. That’s no one’s fault. You build around your guy.
Seems like the team has had enough of the rah rah speech & realize Willie isn’t a very good coach. The decisions he makes from game to game range from confusing to infuriating to out right game costing. He’s alienated most of the centers on the team. Last year he was starting Temple over rookies. This year it’s Richardson over Trey.
Of course, this is to say it’s his decisions. We know a big part of Willie’s hire hinged on him taking direction from David Griffen. If this is Griff’s meddling with the roster & game management, he needs to be fired asap. Doesn’t matter how good his team building & coach hiring is if he’s constantly preventing them from doing their jobs.
Something is very very wrong with this franchise & it needs to be remedied immediately
