Fun game, first time Franz + Paolo + Kelle went off together. Suggs was a menace and had a pretty good offensive game.
Fultz needs to find a way to get more shots up. Ultimately Paolo and Franz were playing well so its not like we were getting bad shots but you cant start 8-8 and end 9-12

We have looked like a completely different team post all star break. Idk if it’s just young guys getting tired because they’re not taking care of their bodies or what, but we just haven’t looked the same. On the bright side we get to add some lotto talent to this team?
Idk I would like to see us consolidate at this point tbh. We need to put good pieces around Franz and Paolo and let them get playoff experience

Mosely is a great guy and all but he is not the coach for this team. I mean how many games has he cost us this season from his terrible decisions. Putting Paolo at the 5 instead of leaving Goga in to deal with Kessler on the boards was idiotic.
Everyone stay after the presser and shoot some extra free throws. I know we’re young and Paolo specifically isn’t used to banging bodies for 32-38 minutes a game but I swear we always go 1 for 2 with under 2 minutes in a close game.

Super entertaining game, sucks to lose a close one when we had big games from multiple players. Free throws sunk us, left 11 points off the board.
NOW DO YALL UNDERSTAND WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING WHOLE SEASON?
MOSLEY is a TERRIBLE COACH. The guy literally makes the worst lineups imaginable and repeats the same failing moves over and over and over again until we get a lucky win which involves one of Franz/Paolo/Mo/Cole going off or until we have multiple injuries that forces Mosley to actually play a bit deeper and play actual productive players instead of the tankers he so love (but first he will start at least one tanker sadly).
Moe/Bol are tank players. I truly mean it. They are generally never good (mostly Bol since I do see some worth from Moe) but they come in and tank. Mosley has been using these 2 like they are a dynamic duo and every game they are completely unsynergetic and an clear reason for any run from the other team. Bol should be in the Gleague and Moe imo should be used as a specialist on limited minutes. I truly prefer Caleb/Mo/Goga/ and maybe Chuma over Moe and I may prefer all of those above and KH over Bol. Bol/Moe combo is a historically bad combo. Mosley has a whole year sample proving that these 2 are a terrible combo and he refuses to fix it or change it. It makes no sense at all.
I blame Mosley. Every time this team puts in a real center (MO, JI, Goga) at the C we have literally seen some of the best Magic basketball this year. Mo was part of a similar ridiculous run with just Paolo, Cole, Mo and 2 other bench players that straight up were on fire. As soon as Mo came in the team went on a run. Guess who was replaced for Mo, it was Bol.
I just dont understand what this FO/coach/fans/media see in Bol that warrants forgetting all stats and being a ostrich with its head in the sand. Bol is a fun project, but he is clearly a weak link and he should be encouraged but not babied. Moe imo has proven himself but he is still a liability on defense but I can also see the combo of him and Bol making his weaknesses gain a bigger target/spotlight that all can exploit. Mainly the 2 of them should never play together and if you plan to use any of them please have a real center. Its so simple but Mosley has never tried to fix it.
It’s a whole season thing at this point and Mosley somehow still hasnt figured it out the problem or hasnt figured out a fix to that problem. Both of which are fireable offensives imo for a professional coach that is supposed to be competent.
I truly like Mosley, Bol and Moe. I actually didnt want any moves this trade deadline but this coach and to a bigger extension the Orlando media/fans are making Bol/Moe get destroyed out there and cause frustrations among true fans who want to see the best from this team. I dont know if the players are ok with it but seriously its disappointing seeing terrible lineups come out nightly, see winnable games slip since the coach cant make a working system and knowing that the fix/a better option is being DNP’d on the bench. Goga came into this game as a monster, Mo was a monster when he came into games before, is the objective to tank no matter what even if playoffs and making real progress (and achievements and records) for the players is possible? I dont really see the Longterm plan unless the FO really believes in this draft (which is possible) and plan to go all in this offseason but then why wouldnt they trade Gary and start Suggs/Cole to better train them.
Anyway forget all the bad, alot of really good. MARKELLE IS A FRANCHISE PG. I HAVE SAID IT WHOLE SEASON BUT THE GUY IS GOING TO BE A STAR. He is a becoming a ever growing offensive scorer, he has an elite mid-range, is an elite driver that is too strong and shift for most, is a good finisher, knows how to get fouls, is very athletic, and add on his elite playmaking probably a top 3 field general in the NBA, his elite defense for a guard prob top 10 this season and was top 15 last season for guards, and his switchability. Markelle is on the cusps of a real breakout (unless you consider this the breakout which I dont since I see him growing even more with one more real offseason of practicing). Markelle is the PG of the future for this team. I really like Scoot but Markelle is reaching his predraft levels of analysis, all he is missing is that shot but once he gets it, I truly dont know what his limit is. He is so unique, with a unique playstyle, unique frame, unique mindset, and special vision. Markelle is the future.
Great game from Goga, I said it on the trade but he starts. Y’ALL said I was trolling once again picking the most troll players. But I told yall the stats before but Goga is clearly better than Moe and Bol, he looks like a better fit for the players, is a true center, and is actually reliable for extended minutes.
Franz/Paolo duo will be the greatest in the NBA and I truly mean it. I cant wait for Mo to come back with this core and this team to truly stop tanking.
Proud of Suggs and Cole both clearly working better together synergistically. I personally really hope Suggs/Cole start soon and Caleb gets more extended minutes. Gary imo despite being great and being a great fit for Paolo/Kelle is the odd guy out imo. Gary fits great but I rather Cole/Suggs.
This coach is either tanking with many of these moves or is incompetent, but the future is definitely bright we just need a coach that understands asset management. I want to go more but this should be short and simple. This season while fun, exciting, and technically a winning/positive season for me is a bit disappointing so far since I know that this team is better than this and its either incompetence or tanking that had this team refusing to play Caleb/Mo/RJ but playing Admiral/Bol/Moe crucial minutes. Many things to look forward to but when will Mosley actually make changes that make sense. Many more games to go though and the team can still make playins but I really hope they start making tough decisions soon and probably change coaches.

This loss was needed and awesome. I want us to win as much as anyone, but the play in isn’t possible. If we can’t make the playoffs the next best thing is to play close games and lose for better lottery odds. Not all losses are created equal. We lose from lack of experience but play hard all game. We just aren’t good enough yet to shoot poorly or defend poorly and still win. Hence putting up 124 and losing. two valuable picks and cap room plus internal development and hopefully better health and I can see us winning 50 games next year and getting a good seeding.
