Tatum has become a ferocious rebounder

  2. Brad-Stevens

Good W to start the roadie

1st and 4th Qtr defense was garb, but we clamped in 2nd and 3rd … Offense was making right play basically all night which you love to see

Lets keep it rollin in Houston

  3. CertifiedCapArtist

What was Smart so msd about I’m so confused?

  4. Organic_Climate_7585

Now we just need the Warriors to polish off the Bucks 🙏

  5. What caused the ruckus between Marcus and trae? I only tuned in at the end when they ejected Marcus

  6. bubsiboo

We won which is cool but someone please tell me what we learned about this team?

  7. titusoneil

Great start to the road trip!! Onto Houston!!

  8. acrossthe_ocean

I’ll be honest – if it was Draymond Green or Dillon Brooks, I would assume that nut kick was intentional all day. Not the case with Trae Young. I’m not saying Marcus didn’t get hit, but Trae’s not a dirty player.

  9. bipolarbearsRAWR

Celtics clinch a spot in the Play-In! Yay!

  10. Which-Imagination-82

We’re back, baby! And just sayin, GSW ahead right now (by one but… they’re ahead.)

  11. JasonTatumisGod

Smart with the -6, everyone else was positive

  12. ThanosIsDoomfist

That was a fun game against slightly better Jordan Poole.

  13. Abiding_Witness

There was no “D” in Celtics vs Hawks but we came away with a “W” anyways 🤣

  14. Mysterious_Ad7559

Very good passing and ball movement that game. Feel like that went unnoticed with the trade Marcus Smart hate train that was going on

  15. Xboxfan117

Trae Young: “That’s my ball, I don’t know you!” 🦵

  16. bubsiboo

DOES BUFFALO JUST CONTINUE TO BE AWESOME NO MATTER WHAT OR AM I CRAZY

  17. yeezuschrist2020

Some celtics fans gonna come in here and shit on trey and defend smart but its wild. Trae played such a great game tonight and Smart was literally keeping the Hawks in the game at the end.

  18. RiffsThatKill

Good to get that win. Bout to play a bad team so hopefully they don’t let up thinking it’s gonna be easy.

  19. mspantaloon

knew there’d be a Marcus fight at some time this season, can’t be too mad at this one I suppose

  20. skrumian

I hope home court Warriors shows up vs Bucks

  21. DieYuppieScum91

34-15-6 and +13 in a game we win by 9. I know that slump killed his chances of winning it this season in all likelihood, but JT is back to playing like an MVP again.

  22. bubsiboo

I think it is better to win, but the hawks are a fucking dumpster fire so something about this being so close smells like fucking shit

  23. ShadowMiku-

Daddy Al gonna be the most hated man in the league the way he’s stunting on his old teams 😂

“He didn’t make 3s or play defense like that with us”

  24. Dazzling_Mechanic_98

Good win tonight Cs and happy Saturday

  25. Organic_Climate_7585

This sub is disgusting the way it’s been crapping all over Marcus Smart

  26. byfartun

We have to figure out how to close games better but I’m taking this W! LETS GO!

  27. IncrediblySatanist

I cant believe im rooting for the Larriors to win today.

  28. 25donutz

Smart playing 4d chess. Even he knows brogden should be closing out the game, so he sacrificed himself. Gotta love him.

  29. b4ttous4i

All I have to say is. We won’t wint the finals with acting.

  30. 25donutz

It’d be nice if Tatum had a Celtic color way for his shoes.

  31. ahsasahsasahsas

    Not “Watches” because he…likes watches?????

  32. someguy31604

Man, Rob’s rebounding was missed big time tonight. But, good to grab a win to start the road trip. Not the smoothest win but a win nonetheless. Those always feel good. Tatum started hot, then went cold for a bit but he hit some huge buckets in Q4 to make up for it. On to Houston (and a snow storm… fuck)

  33. ilikeweed--alot

That assist column is a thing of beauty.

  34. TheMaximumUnicorn

About the dust-up between Smart and Trae… I get why Smart got ejected, but I think he had a right to be pissed.

I don’t think Trae tried to kick him in the nuts, and I don’t think Randle tried to the other night either, but it’s not a coincidence that this keeps happening. Players are constantly flailing around on offense to bait fouls and they do it even more when they have guys like Smart on them who get up in their face defensively. It’s just too easy to let the refs bail you out when a good defender is putting the clamps on you so it’s become a go-to “move” in a lot of players’ repertoires.

In the case of tonight with Trae, he knew Smart was following closely behind him and he wanted the and-1 so he kicked backwards to get some contact. Randle tried doing it on a 3 because he was guarded closely, had nowhere to pass the ball, and knew he wasn’t going to hit the shot.

A couple of years ago they clamped down on this stuff when Draymond was out there kicking dudes in the nuts on the regular, but it’s worse now then it was then in my opinion, guys are just a little craftier and are doing it in ways that aren’t so overtly obvious and the refs constantly let them get away with it.

Ideally I think these plays need to be called offensive fouls FAR more often than they are because calling them defensive fouls as they did tonight just incentivizes players to keep doing this. It sucks to watch, it sucks for players who actually want to play defense, and sooner or later someone’s going to get seriously hurt.

Anyway, I guess my point is I feel for Smart because I feel like it make it really tough for him to play his game, but I think the refs and the league are the problem moreso than the players taking advantage of the situation.

  35. sneks_ona_plane

Man Vegas is just too good. Don’t really do much sports betting but was bored tonight so threw some $$ on a SGP:

    Tatum 3+ 3s ✅
    Tatum 25+ pts ✅
    JB 4+ asts ✅
    Al 10+ pts ❌

I’m guessing talking about betting here is like talking about your fantasy team but goddamn that 1 pt hurts

  36. luke_workin

Despite the Celtics best efforts, the Celtics hold on to win the game. Seriously, can we try not doing the late game shenanigans thing? Blowing open layups, committing dumb fouls on 3pt shooters, not securing defensive rebounds. You have to play hard for 48 minutes. We’re gonna blow a late lead and get burned in an important playoff game because they still do this shit.

Anyways, good stuff from JT. Jaylens been in an ugly slump from deep, 28% in March. And Trae is dirty and gross

  37. latearrival42

Totally random but just a daily reminder that the bucks purposely tried to avoid the nets last year in the playoffs.
