INSTANT REACTION: Celtics execute when it matters down the stretch to shut down Hawks' comeback run

Eddie House and Brian Scalabrine join Tom Giles to offer instant reaction and analysis following the Boston Celtics’ 134-125 win over the Atlanta Hawks to start their six-game road trip. The Hawks were able to cut the lead to six with just over a minute to play, but strong play by Boston on both ends of the court sealed the win for the green. Eddie and Tom also discuss Marcus Smart’s ejection after getting into a fight with Trae Young in the fourth quarter. Then, Chris Forsberg catches up with Jayson Tatum for an exclusive 1-on-1 after the win.

  1. Celtics played four quarters instead of three this time and made the other team have to earn it. Sometimes throw away possessions turn into throw away quarters not tonight

  2. I loved how the offense played tonight. They were always answering back when the hawks were making plays. Imo Al horford made the play of the game with that block and brogdon getting that easy bucket after that pass from Tatum. However our defense needs to play cuz we gave up a lot of second chance points

  3. If they can turn it up more defensively they will be great they kind of trading too manny baskets.

  4. It’s one thing to flick the foot back and hit the balls it’s another thing entirely to use the balls as a springboard 😬

  5. Man we need to start a conversation about benching Smart in close games. He's degenerate play and attitude will cost us in the playoffs
