We win this game with Braun playing more minutes and MPJ not sitting for the 4th. It’s that simple. MPJ has been the second best player on this team for the past month and you sit him in a crucial moment in the game. This guy’s lineups are asinine

  2. ImGonnaChubbBradley

Malone has not only probably costed Jokic a 3rd straight MVP but probably our title hopes. Dude saw that the team morale and vibes were too strong and took one giant shit on that with his rotations.

  3. orchestrareal

Malone, for the love of god play CB. He plays defense. We need defense. Please.

  4. number15ismyfather

As much as I love Mal, before he got hurt today he was pretty awful esp on offense let’s be honest here he shouldn’t escape blame at all he’s looked rly off last 3+ games including most of the 2H of the raptors game

  5. Proper_Maximum5739

Malone is a mediocre coach. He’s not a championship winning coach…

  6. fattymaggo

Really don’t like Malone not trusting MPJ in 4th, he wasn’t solely responsible for the bad 3. Quarter. Idk why he is acting like CB and MPJ can’t play together. Happy that MPJ ‘called him out’ tbh

Malone has got to do something else with the bench, I get that he probably promised Reggie PT to get him to sign but then don’t stagger Jamal, we don’t need 3 guards out there.

  7. Proper_Maximum5739

And the moves to get reggie jackson and thomas bryant were stupid as hell….I was never a fan of those acquisitions.

    * Jokic had one hell of a game. Played strong defense after the Spurs debacle, was a beast on the boards.
    * MPJ continued his excellent play, effective in all areas. But fuck it, let’s bench him for most of the second half. WTF!
    * AG is making me scratch my head. He didn’t have a terrible game but he hasn’t been nearly as effective as before the ASB. Still injured?
    * KCP, Brown – Meh
    * Murray just killed us during the third quarter with his volume shooting. No sense that MPJ and Joker were scoring at will. When he had open shots, couldn’t hit them. 9 shots, while Joker had 2, forcing them, getting cooked on defense.
    * Bench – just look at the boxscore plus/minus, disastrous. Jokic played nearly 40 minutes because we cannot trust the bench (Braun aside) to at *least* maintain a lead/deficit.
    * Braun – what does the kid have to do to get more minutes!?
    * Malone – those two plays at the end of the game were just bad. Let’s put Joker in a situation where he has to take a 180-degree fadeaway three with less than 2 seconds. Why did he sit MPJ most of the second half!? [*Update: apparently it was because of MPJ’s two bad turnovers in the third. They were pretty bad, but FFS, every starter other than KCP had 2 TOs, way to shoot your own team in the foot]*
    * Nuggets Front Office – We all pat you on the back for assembling a quality starting five. But my god, stop neglecting the fucking depth. Reggie and TB (didn’t play) are total duds.
    * Last but not least, I’m DV every one of you assholes who, unprovoked, brings up the Sixers in this thread!!!! Quit letting their dipshit mouth-breather fans live rent free in your skulls.

  9. Boofie__Collins

All part of the Malone master plan.

Control the majority of the game, then give up a big lead to see how the fellas could handle the heat. I’m about 95% sarcastic but hopefully the MPJ issue gets addressed and they learn from this.

  10. dnelson7

Thank god we didn’t get Noel tho he was garbage

  11. The_Donny_Lebowski

Will Malone travel to the promised land of Philly to hand Embiid the MVP trophy this year? If he can travel to Serbia he can sure as shit make the flight the Philly.

He’s earned that honor. (MALONE, not Embiid)

  12. turandot_or_not

We can discuss coach all we want, there is no perfect coach in the league. But this team goes as far as Jamal takes them.

We know Jok is always gonna get his, doesn’t matter if it’s through scoring or passing. He’s gonna be super aggressive defensively in the PO as well. But it’s gonna come down to the growth of other two max players. I feel like MPJ has made a huge jump, he’s more efficient, he’s driving to the rim, moving better off ball lately and now even catching bodies. He needs to do that on a more consistent level, but with his improved defense, he’s been the biggest highlight of this Nuggets season.

AG, KCP, Brown, CB, Vlatko or whoever plays are going to have good and bad nights, but they feed of the energy of those other 3 guys. That’s why we need Jamal to step up. He’s had some amazing stretches in the season, but he’s been inconsistent as hell. Which makes sense, having in mind how much time he missed and that knee is still bothering him. But we need him to find that perfect balance of being confident enough to shoot every shot and be smarter about shot selection. Because I feel that he’s not helping himself by taking super difficult shots play after play. When they go in they are amazing, but you can’t hope you are gonna do that every night. Also, his energy on D this year has not been any better than Joker’s honestly.

I love me some Murrey flurry, but I’d prefer him taking easier shots and move the ball better that expecting him to play hero ball every other night.

  13. drunkontequila

MPJ is a better man than me. He’s sacrificed way too much to be treated like this. Bruce being treated as a max guy over him does not sit well with me.

  14. rascal7298

Reggie Jackson -20. Braun +9. WTF are you doing Malone?

  15. kemmdogg

Fire Malone, trade Reggie , kill vlatko, bench Jamal jokic 48 minutes every game

    Fuck

  16. Word_Iz_Bond

Couldn’t catch the 2nd half, what happened to Jamal?

  17. Can we conclude at the very least that none of the bench issues Braun is responsible for?

  18. YoungTheGiant_

Anyone else laugh when Malone just randomly put in Ish Smith lol.

  19. Bro did Malone really compare our slump to the Warriors last year lmaooooi

  20. landlion35

Decided to play cookie clicker again and now I am addicted. These grandma’s are slacking smh

  21. No-Sound-888

Reggie Jackson now -59 total as a Nugget

  22. Can someone explain to me why we don’t simply have Jokic bring the ball up if struggling to pass to him dur to players fronting him

  23. Jokic:

I think he (Christian Braun) won a couple of things. I never win anything in my life. But I think I know how…what a mindset needs to be. He has that mindset.

  24. sorry but we have been dog water since signing reggie

  25. Nikola Jokic said when he huddled MPJ and AG at the end of the game before his final shot, he wasn’t telling them anything. He wanted Brooklyn to think they were adjusting the final play.

Maloners were literally defending the final play saying Jokic changed it LMAOO

  26. Donnie1490

I am so glad everybody is seeing the short and unfair leash MPJ has. I put him the list of the you know who’s, who’s no longer on the team. There’s the other side who just suck suck suck and Malone keep playing them lol. Bones was that player and actually asked out that’s why I’m still salty at bones. I’m like dude do you know the bullshit mpj/braun and others gotta/had to deal with? You went out there jacked up shots, kept missing and dribbled dribbled dribbled and it took Malone forever to say enough. You SUPER blew it 😂

  27. Nixbling

Malone trying to find cbs minutes reminds me of when I would watch Dora the explorer as a kid and she would ask you “where’s the forest?” And she’s literally standing in front of the forest

  28. YoungTheGiant_

Hopefully Jamal just felt off because of the early start game and it threw him off his regular routine.

  29. DutyPuzzleheaded7765

I’ll upgrade the ante I’ll eat vegan only until the next W when we win next to honor MIke

  30. dnelson7

Imma continue to beat a dead horse but CB has done nothing to ever lose his minutes. Buys into role and plays hard every single minute. Hell, his 3 point shot been falling and looking great. His personality and work ethic would make you think that he would be a Malone type player. Bro been stacking up DNPs and comes in during a 4th quarter and immediately gets us back into the game. Jokic literally just called him a winner and said he needs to learn from him.

If Malone doesn’t make him a permanent staple into the rotation moving forward I’m going to be very concerned

  31. Savahoodie

The mods gonna make another post or is this where I should talk about my tummy aches?

  32. ImGonnaChubbBradley

On the bright side Jokic is averaging a perfect 10 assists again. No rounding or anything just a perfect 10. 25/12/10 and it’s all starting to go downhill because Malone is fucking stupid.

  33. Reggie/ Jamal/ Brown -21.5 net rating in 56 minutes

    Jamal/ Bones/ Brown -16.6 net rating in 179 minutes

  34. Reggie 28% FG and 29% from 3

    Bones 39% FG and 37% from 3

  35. PoorDad2115

Went to my first Nuggets game, live in Chicago, despite the loss, the atmosphere was amazing and the fans were awesome down the stretch! Also, Denver is a dope ass city.

  36. Improverb

I’m gonna watch Bloodsport and pretend the Nuggets are JCVD

  37. Whatwasthat50

Gotta be Malone’s worst game of the year. No excuse for sitting MPJ the entire 4th. He has earned his spot and should be treated on the same level of Murray

  38. Unl1ke_Br0adsterdam

I’m gonna start smoking crack every day until the Nuggets win. If I’m a crackhead by next week, blame Malone.

  39. couponuser9

Oof. Been out and about today so missed this one but yikes lol.

Nuggets backcourt has been struggling bad since the ASB. Jamal + Bruce are each shooting 40% from the field, and Reggie is below 30% in these 9 games.

Those 3 have also shared the court for 69 minutes (~8 min per game) and are a -30 NET RTG. Not great, could be better lol

  40. Can someone explain the logic behind MPJ not playing in the 4th?
