How would you grade Jason Kidd's coaching job this year?

I just want the Mavs fanbase to understand that the issues that lie with the team are not coaching. It's the roster construction, and that's on ownership and management, which is Nico, Finley, and Cuban.
People want Wood to play more , but sadly, the man can't be on the court without a productive defensive front court mate that makes up for his shortcomings on defense, which means he has to play with Maxi in order for the lineup to have a net positive rating. McGee was supposed to help defensively, but that hasn't worked out either. The Wood Trade and McGee signing were both moves made by management, and so far, both have been poor decisions because they didn't fill the need of our team needing interior presence because neither of them can have productive play in Mavs current schemes as a team. Mavs like their bigs to be able to switch constantly on rotations, but neither are capable to do so, which is why neither get more playing time. There are probably only a handful of bigs that can play Mavs defensive schemes. Guys like Robert Williams, Bam Adebayo, Myles Turner, Nicolas Claxton, and Jaren Jackson Jr. are the only ones that I can think of at this moment who can play this style of defense.
If you don't have a switchable center, then you at least need a long, lengthy wing who can make up for any defenciency your center has, like a Jared Vanderbilt or Dorian Finney-Smith who we no longer have.

One thing I truly blame Kidd for is he's letting Luka play whatever he wants. No movement off ball and his passive defense.
the coach is only as good as the players, If Luka is their best players and build a team around an over-rated player, then the team will sink like a quicksand. Blame it on the former GM, Donnie Nelson for pushing the draft of Luka which costed them their future pics and intentionally tanking back then.m

Yes he is the problem, playing Powell more than wood. I'm starting to watch dinwiddie and DFS on nets. I thought mavs will get better when they got kyrie. It's too early to say that they won't get the 6th or 5th seed but it's scary that they will fall under play in spot. No hate but meh sometimes I'm getting sick watching them every game now and then 😕

How long he can figured out Powell is the big issue. Powell can't give you blocks, rebound and even scoring. Why is he's still playing at first five? Grrrrrrrrr.

I have lost hope that I wake up one morning and the Mavs never lose again all the way to the chip, but I still think Isaac loves to puff😆
I think Kidd's rotation make roster look worst
Isaac is another hipster clown who thinks hes smart like kidd for looking at certain stats and using them as a scapegoat. Isaac is so far up kidds butt you can see him in kidds mouth. Isaac is a tool and a circle jerker that bases his opinions off general opinion. I'm pretty sure isaac the tool doesn't even bother watching the games if hes kissing kidd's ass this hard, he's a box score watching media muppet. Nick at least holds even untouchable mavericks like kidd accountable, isaac continues to pucker up and bury his nose up kidds

The iso ball is not on Kidd…that started during the Carlisle era and it has remained because it is ultimately how Luka grew accustomed to playing basketball. This was a realization I had in recent weeks, in seeing how the team played when Luka was out….the offense was just vastly different, where pace increased and they ran sets and actions that allowed for more ball movement. It’s clear that the coaching staff is capable of designing an offensive scheme. I assumed, because of Luka’s Euro days of playing off ball in a more set offense, that he would be able to adjust well to the new look….but, realized that would be a more difficult feat because by his own admission, he has played basketball one way the entirety of his NBA career. We can see evidence of that in how quickly, within a few games, the offense reverted back to heavy iso during the Luka minutes. That is Luka’s preferred way of playing.
So for the offense to adjust, Luka really has to be committed to making a change.
Kidd has been the biggest disappointment this year. Stubborn af. Wasted Wood and McGee. Thought we needed bigs after the gsw series last season. Kai has been great. Luka's also going to get worse, not taking his conditioning seriously and will still play non-stop basketball for his country all summer. No rest all year.

This podcast is one of the most disappointing podcasts you've ever done. No holding him accountable, no soundboards, its about judging kidd as a coach yet you mention nothing about how hes been killing the team with his 24/7 small ball lineups and mishandling of wood, who the mavs NEED offense from since nobody else can score.
I can see why woods effort since coming off that thumb injury after starting(where he was becoming the big man every mavericks fan wanted next to luka) is what it is and I don't blame him. Kidd clearly has an agenda so why would he want to play for a piece of shit like him?
What exactly has kidd done as a coach this season that has resulted in wins besides relying on isolations and 3 pointers? When are you going to stop looking at stats and start watching the actual games and the way kidd is so incompetent he couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag? Why aren't you holding him accountable for his blatant mistreatment of wood when he was averaging 20/10 as a starter and the mavs where on a winning streak?
The only good thing you've done with this podcast was catching that quote with kidd about how hes just watching when he literally is, and you joke about it like its a slip when its an actual fact.

My God you takes are weird. Last year Kokoškov was the reason the team did well. Look at the Nets this year and even after the trade. Good coaches changes everything. Kidd is a bad coach who has no clue what he's doing on court. He's just watching them play🤦♂️ I get it you shouldn't talk bad about the coach cos you won't get the access to the Mavs and Cuban will get you cut off but man just admit it. The coach is trash.
You can’t put kid over roster since he took a lesser roster to the WCF and yes I think the roster now with Kia and without DFS, Brunson is better.
Of Course is Kidd the Main reason:

Worst coach in the league & it isn't even close
I feel like the Mavs can easily be at the top of the west this season due to a lot of close games that could have gone their way, but the execution during late games, drawn plays, not calling timeouts when needed and rotations have been abysmal. There are games Theo Pinson was inserted at the 4th quarter and closing without playing the first 3 quarters. Smh.
