   GARY PAYTON II INJURY UPDATE – 3/13/23
   Warriors guard Gary Payton II, who has not played since being acquired by the team from the Portland Trail Blazers on February 12 due to a right adductor injury, was re-evaluated in recent days. The re-evaluation indicated that Payton II is making good progress. In addition to daily physical rehab work with the team’s training staff- -which is designed to strengthen his adductor/core_he has started various on-court activities (shooting, etc.) and will begin to intensify the on-court workouts in the coming days. He will be re-evaluated again in 10 days.

   Out at least another 10 days. That’d put him up near about 18 games missed since the trade. Happy he’s making good progress, but that’s shit. Not Gary’s fault at all though, and thankfully it looks like they’ll have him back on the court to close out the regular season.

   Still think it’s crazy the two medical teams had such differing opinions on it. Went from starting and getting 17min to having to miss at least a month and a half, with nothing happening in between.
