This may be a hot take but I think Dallas is intentionally trying to hover around the 7 or the 8th seed. The winner of 7 versus 8 games the 7th seed which plays the number 2 seed which is more than likely going to be Memphis or Sacramento. Possibly PHX. But finishing 4th or 5th may land you Clippers or GSW in round 1. Idk maybe, maybe not.

The Mavs need a new coach, and they need size they looked like little kids in the paint getting bodied by the grizzles. Also a testament to how undeveloped the team dynamic is without the facilitation of luka or Kyrie because Lukas been so ball dominant. I think dirk had 3 coaches up to getting a ring and plenty of disappointing seasons but for some reason the culture around the mavs right now seems very unstable with so many pieces needed and a lot holding them back from getting them. Instead we get Kyrie like the ultimate band aid for the greater issue
