Winslows really set to miss 53 games with a high ankle sprain. Idc what anyone says, that’s not normal.
Honestly why bother after that Pels loss, 2 games out of a 4 way tie for 9th, our odds of getting a top 4 pick are way higher than making it to the first round of the playoffs
Blazers watching the Pacers getting blown out by the Pistons and decided they are not getting one upped by them in this tank.

We’re 2 games out of the play in, 3 games out of 8th, 4 games out of 6th. 14 games remaining. If we had any faith in this roster we’d be battling hard.
I get it, even we claw back into at least a play-in, we still stink and will almost assuredly not advance to playoffs and no way we win a first round. Regardless, it stinks to be non-competitive for another year.

The tank strategy has begun. It actually began probably a week ago despite what Dame has been saying.

Getting a top 5 pick would open doors to acquire a high level player with less capital. Of course we could draft a player but it could also be used to save future draft capital if the pick is valuable enough.
The lower they go the more options they’ll probably have at the this point cause it looks like the Knicks are going to make the playoffs and we’ll probably give that pick to the Bulls to free up our picks.

I liked Mike Richman’s take – we haven’t been tanking, we’re just not a good team. Playing dame and grant heavy mins is a coach at least trying to win.
Even if we wanted to win our remaining schedule we probably would lose all but maybe a few and that’s being generous.
