  1. This conversation with Dame is one of the best ones we’ve ever had. We go deeper into conversations about life, competition and fulfillment. We also dig deep into scoring and shooting mechanics. Just an awesome interview with an awesome guy. The full thing drops first thing tomorrow morning so subscribe if you haven’t. Thanks for watching.

  2. Love the realness of this dude. “I have a real life” hits so hard, hes not focused on all the media bs about Portland never winning a ring, hes focused on being the best version of himself, as not only an NBA player but a husband, son, grandson, nephew, etc

  3. Dame is a good guy, but he can't raise the white flag like that. He is too comfortable in Portland. He put no pressure on the organization. If He was in LA or Boston, the fans would not care about the journey . He would have a different mind set.

  4. NBA is just not for boomers anymore….too many young guns with too much firepower…this isn't cultural it is factual

  5. Dame time is respect time. The only ring you should worry about is your wife's ring, and the ring of family and true friends period.🤔

  6. He is not just describing the situation in the nba… he is literally describing generations in society….

  7. He’s right, the culture has changed so much, guys don’t respect the positions they’ve been put in. Team first selfless attitudes don’t exist anymore. These guys make more money than ever and sit out more games. They don’t care about how their teams can get better rather than which team can get me a ring. Dudes these days just want it easy.

  8. Men respect level for this guy just went up. I always wondered y he ain't just bounce from Portland but this puts into perspective. The game today has evolved into something that is not as fun to watch. Blame the league with the rule changes, the players, and the media

  9. Lol… for me it is the fake fight every single game…. yall can shoot and dunk a basketball but you can't read or do anything else

  10. I don't know that any of these answers surprised me, but hearing him articulate them was fantastic. Really makes it clear why he reacts the way he does to the whole "omg Dame needs a ring" thing. Sure he believes in Loyalty but it is so much more than that.

  11. You know what, he's right. I think the league changed just like the way kids are raised have changed. Kids grow up now being given literally everything, even participation trophies despite being trash. Then they make it to adult life and see everything as worthless and only one thing as a real accolade because they never earned real accolades throughout their life. Not only that, veterans aren't treated well despite their necessity to help new players become real players with their talent. Ben Simmons is a key example of a player with talent, but does not care about anything but money. Once he got it, he just flipped everyone off and went home. It's sad to say, but the culture has changed and it seems to be much worse than before. Stats have really changed everything.

  12. This is why Dame is my fave player and has been since he came into the league. I hope he wins a ring, there is no other player in the nba more deserving of a ring but ultimately I hope he plays out his career how he wants to and eventually retires with 0 regrets <3

  13. Draymond has touched on this before but there are 100% guys in the NBA who don’t love basketball but love the lifestyle it gives them. Ben Simmons and Lamelo. They start treating some of these guys like literally gods when they’re still children and then they get into the league and are crazy entitled and don’t work on their game.

  14. Dame Lillard is an absolute legend. I only disagree that I'm going to forget him. Ain't no way I forgetting.

  15. The NBA has more parity than it ever has. It is in a great place. It's not great if you don't play defense and are a volume shooter who shoots a low %. Dame is bitter.

  16. Agreed, young guys are going unchecked and it's made the game a messy and disorganized sport. The league is run by athleticism now instead of skill. Offenses are centered around iso ball instead of off ball movement and passing. Hell, big men entering the league now don't even have a single post move in their bag. Everyone wants to be a point guard and shoot 3's or dunk on people to get a highlight on ESPN. Dame is right, it's all about individual stats, awards, and accolades now. The NBA is a broken system at this point.

  17. A lot of this is on the debate show culture and social media that down plays everything. Nobody cares about anything but their own opinions!!

  18. Perfectly broken down. Couple that to load management, player empowerment and the rule changes and thats the NBA in the vacuum.

  19. What hasn't changed for the worse and lost it's way these days? The out of touch elites need to shut up and listen to everyday people.

  20. This is exactly what Jordan said. In the 80s 90s and early 2000s, players went into the NBA with the hunger of earning that spot, getting those high dollar deals along with endorsements. You got rookies now days coming into the league as a 1st 2nd or 3rd pick with multimillion dollar contracts and endorsement deals!! Instead of actually playing and proving they deserve it!! Whats wrong with the NBA it’s whats wrong with the world, a bunch of entitled kids that have no respect for the generations that came before them.

  21. I stopped watching the NBA years ago. It's changed too much. I don't recognise the sport I grew up with anymore. College ball and the NBL. I like watching. Basketball is what I watch. The NBA is not basketball anymore it's entertainment. We have so much poverty, to see one person get 100 + million is ridiculous. I don't care about the justification. It's just greed and money driven. Sport died when corporate America took over.

  22. This might be a soft take but I do wonder if someone like KD finds it easy to team hop because he has no kids/wife.
