An utter failure by the front office, the only reason I can think of as to why we haven’t signed a backup center is Jeanie buss being stingy
Terrible shooting terrible finishing terrible rebounding, and terrible from the front office to not get us a big when we know we still need size. That was the easiest I’ve ever seen a team shoot at the rim, they just went right over the top no problem every time.
I love Austin so much. See y’all next season. That’s an organizational decision.

That was some of the nastiest shit I’ve ever seen. We had one the most generous whistles I’ve watched live. The Rockets are straight up terrible. They literally tried to let us win. 0 big men signed w/ the 10 day knowing this b2b was on the schedule. Completely undid all the momentum this team had.

Sorry, can’t give the medical staff a pass on this one. ANY other situation, ANY, and you could justify AD sitting. Can’t in this one.
Honestly while this was still winnable (especially when we cut the lead to 4) I feel like most of the blame this one lies on whoever thought it was a good idea to play an NBA game without a single center on the team.
Rockets didn’t even play that well. We sucked defensively and choked offensively. If our players were hot, we win. If we had a center to prevent the 70+ paint points, we win. Neither fuckin happened.
By not playing AD nor signing a 10-day, we basically turned what was a guaranteed win into a coin flip that depended on whether we were hot or not. And, well, we weren’t.
Minny lost, let’s hope the spurs beat the Mavs. If that happens then we’re not in *terrible* shape, though we legit just threw a golden opportunity away.
The incompetence required to think that giving AD one extra day of rest is worth more than a win. Making AD “rest” when he can play and wants to play, and we are in a playoff race where every win is going to be necessary, and when we have no other centers on the roster, is just flat out the wrong decision. There are only 3.5 weeks left in the season. There’s no breathing room when it comes to dropping games like these.
