He isn’t winning it and its fine. Nobody really cares except those who like Jokic more than the Nuggets. We are focused on playoffs. Let Embiid have it. Embiid will be going hard for it meanwhile Jokic will just be focused on trying to win and maybe even rest near the end of the season. Embiid will do everything possible to win. So let him have it, let them get knocked out in the 2nd round and let him demand a trade this summer to Miami

Its better for Jokic and the Nuggets if he doesnt win it.

Tbh couldn’t care less. He’s an all time great, that’s already won it twice. Embiid is a great player and so is Giannis. Both deserve it too. At this point, I just want Jokic to bring home a ring. MVP would be sweet and I would celebrate, but I could not care less if someone else won.

Don’t think many around here care. Playoffs can’t start fast enough.

Hot take, but I don’t care anymore. Even in terms of Jokic’s legacy, it’s more important for him to win(or at least) make the finals than win another MVP. But also yeah, I care much more about wins and losses this year than whether Jokic wins MVP again. I’m just tired of this discourse, and it’s not like Giannis and Embiid aren’t also having great seasons.

Prefer he doesn’t win it. I just want the team to look great going into the playoffs

I feel like the MVP talk is really bumming him out. We need to make sure not to chant that shit anymore.

Could rly care less whether joker wins it or not just care about nuggets playing as well as they can this home stretch and before the start of the playoffs joker would say the time thing too if you asked him (and that’d be consistent with the feelings he’s had toward the mvp race all year)

A fool and his money are soon parted. Jokic will get the MVP, anyone taking that Embiid money line is an idiot.

He’s not getting the 3 peat. It feels like it’s been written at this point. And frankly I think that’s okay. I welcome the relief in fact in such an event. Who needs it at the end of the day? Jokic doesn’t, he has two. And it’s more of a burden than anything else considering how much he’s resented just for being so good but having the wrong look and personality. And fans? We want to finally see this team get a championship. So I just don’t care anymore.

Idc how unimportant it is, now I want him to win it this season, win championship(!) and then win MVP again next season.

Just to endlessly troll everyone to the max.

Screw the mvp. Championship or bust.

  13. BowserBuddy123

Jokic’s best assist of the year is, in this great losing streak giving up his sure third MVP in a row, to another candidate. In a cruel act of fate, Embiid will bumble this opportunity and Giannis will win again.

Edit: that said, I just want us to play well and win a chip. The team seems disjointed now. Far less room for error with the squad.

It’s crazy how much the script can flip in a week, I was certain Jokic had this MVP race in the bag but with the way media has been talking about the Nuggets lately I wouldn’t be surprised if Embiid or Giannis wins

  15. HeadHoncho204

I cashed out on my +2500 MVP bet when I saw us be down by 24 against the lowly raps… Didn’t think our boy would win a third back to back MVP after last year and realistically it seems like everyone is looking for a reason not to give it to him.. One of those things where I’d love to be wrong but please give me the plus $$ on my awesome insight lol

  16. bartimaeus13

Let them have it. I’d rather another MVP candidate win it to remove any distractions from Nuggets’ goal this year, a championship.

Honestly, it’d be relief because it removes the narrative of “only 3-time mvp that didn’t reach the finals”.

The only thing that will deny Embiid and Giannis is the triple/dub average. But I don’t really gaf, I’d rather it be a fair race between Giannis, Jokic & Embiid than Jokic win it easily without any questions. I’m glad it’s close now. I’ll take Nuggets W’s over an MVP anyways.
