Jaylen Brown: Celtics Need MORE LEADERSHIP at Times of Adversity | Celtics Postgame Interview

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Jaylen Brown led the Celtics once again dropping 35 points in the Celtics 104-102 win over the Timberwolves. The game was a struggle offensively for both teams with the Celtics needing to dig deep late to hold off a surge from Minnesota. Brown said after the game that it’s up to the team’s leaders to steer the ship when things aren’t going well.

“Anytime adversity hits, those are the moments,” Brown said. “Those are the moments you look to. Those are the moments I look to. When everybody is feeling down, or the energy’s low, those are the moments where I’m like, ‘okay, let’s get it going. Okay let’s come out and play. Okay, let’s play with a little more urgency.”

  1. If you actually watch the games and the actual interviews of multiple players, listening to Jaylen over the last few weeks have talked about holes in the group on the court and off… not saying this is a problem but it seems like he’s bringing more than others about what’s leading to the recent results

  2. Yoo jaylen brown is saying and has been saying it for years Tatum and brown have 0 chemistry zero it's time to break it up before brown leaves and Celtics get nothing

  3. you guys want to know who that leader was in times of adversity last season along with jb, jt, smart and horford? IME UDOKA. i love mazzulla coaching this squad but it really feels like our players are attached to the way ime coached this team. too bad ime ruined it

  4. I understand that Tatum is the man but Jaylen is the true leader of this team. I’ll take that statement anywhere.

  5. JB is saying the right things unlike Tatum he gives me little hope that the season isn’t over just yet he sounds like a leader let’s see if it’s enough to help the Celtics

  6. No one wants to hear this but MAZZULLA IS NOT THE GUY, brad stevens messed up bad giving hime a 5 year extension

  7. Wish they would let brown be the leader he is the best overall player on the team

  8. I find it crazy all you people saying he’s better than JT…. Y’all do realize he shines because JT gets doubled every game. Jaylen should be out there doing what he’s doing if 2 people arenon Tatum sadly Tatum doesn’t get that luxury and still puts up better numbers (pts, rbs, asts)I love JB but all the crazy talk about him being better needs to stop JT been carrying this team for about 3 years now

  9. Yes you got to play with fire and passion with high energy like you wanna be there dont just say it commit to it gotta give fans hope and excitement.

  10. JB is the leader of this team. No ifs or buts about it. However, i still wonder what is going on inside that locker room?

  11. Thank goodness for Jaylen. As Tom Westerholm wrote today, "In 10 games since the All-Star break, Jaylen Brown has been the Celtics’ best player, averaging 28.1 points and shooting 50 percent from the field. Importantly, he’s up to 38.3 percent from 3-point range over that stretch — significantly better than his season average of 33.8, which is his lowest career total so far."

  12. WTf is going on with Tatum. He’s missing so many threes, he’s not rly been himself lately.

  13. Do they not have microphone for the media asking questions??? You can't hear the questions they're asking. 🙄
