So. Many. Alley. Oops. Did Gordon have as good a game as it looked on the highlights? I missed this one.

Did the Nuggets clinch a playoff spot? ESPN standings aren’t showing that they have.

But the only way the Nuggets drop to the play-in is if they lose the rest of their games and either the Wolves or Mavs win the rest. However, if either happens, that would mean that the Warriors would lose at least one game, and since they’re currently 11 games back with 12 remaining, the Warriors would still drop behind the Nuggets even if the Warriors won the other 11 games.

Edit: Ah, if both the Wolves and Mavs win out (and Nuggets lose the rest), they would still be tied with the Nuggets by record and head-to-head. It would have to go to the next tiebreaker with both teams and the Warriors would drop to the play-in by virtue of losing two games (i.e. loss to the Mavs and loss to the Wolves).

Bucks fans posting Jokić lowlights and talking shit all year only for their unskilled star to be ignored by the voters again is better than sex.

    Edit: More like Cucks fans

Bucks getting worked at home by the Pacers.

  5. fattymaggo

Good bounce back, it wasnā€™t the prettiest game but a win is a win. Not getting rebounds and 3s were killing the nuggets.

They looked better in the second half, great to see KCP getting his 3pt shot back, KCP had a great game. I thought CB did good, did mess up a bit before the half but that happens, his rebounding is great for his size.

MPJs 3s werenā€™t falling, that shot will always be inconsistent so what can you do, I thought he did well trying to contribute in other ways (loved his blocks) and got closer to the basket. I hope that Malone realizes that he can play CB and MPJ together, I didnā€™t like how long he was sitting out tbh.

Decision making on offense wasnā€™t great but it got better, I like that they are trying to go back to sharing the ball a bit more. I hope AG works on that, he missed wide open shooters, him assisting is so valuable for this teams offense.

  6. Superbotto

It’s a long shot now, but the Bucks loss against the Pacers definitely helps.

Edit: in terms of best overall record chances.

  7. UnderratedNightmare

Bucks lost to Pacers??? Lol. Nuggets would never lose to bad teams like that. Giannis is no MVP

  8. porkadachop

I didnā€™t block anybody tonight. I feel like Iā€™m losing my identity.

  9. LegendOfTooget

Bucks just lost to the Pacers. Looks like Giannis is no longer an MVP candidate. /s

I’ll watch the replay eventually but it’s just good to see the Nuggets get a win, I don’t know how it looked but after seeing the last four games ya just wanna get back on track. They worked their butts off to get this far and they don’t just roll over, so they’re gonna come back no matter what, and they still got time. I still believe that.

In other news, it’s been *great* to not hang around the NBA. No shit to hear or think about and it feels really nice, and dealing with four losses has been pretty easy. I’ve been playing Kirby Triple Deluxe since Monday and beat it yesterday. An enjoyable 13 hours.

Feel free to tell me any more moments from the last few games to make GIFs of, I can do that. How are you all?

  12. UnderratedNightmare

Suns down to the Magic at home. We could never be down to bad teams like that

  13. lemondhead

538 ELO forecast has Sixers as heavy title favorites. Just a shame that 538 has never been wrong about anything before.

  14. _cosmix1

Jeez, they’re showing the brackets on the standings page, doesn’t make me feel anxious at all…

  15. native_end

List of teams that are 5-5 or worse in their last 10

    – nuggets
    – Celtics
    – nets
    – suns
    – clippers
    – wolves
    – mavericks

Lakers, warriors, grizzlies, heat, cavs are all just 1 game better at 6-4.

  16. Jamal played 38mins! šŸ™
is ish smith not good enough for some backup PG mins?

  17. freddyt55555

Two revenge games coming up, making it 3 in a row including tonight’s game.

  18. Superbotto

Booker getting outscored by Bol so far. It’s a close one though Bol 4 points, Booker 3.

  19. Pure-Temporary

I saw a “ready to drink” cocktail can today. It was a spritz, by a company called Ish.

    Ish Spritz.

I will buy this and give him one.

  20. I can finally come back to the sub, I tend to avoid it here when we slump.

  21. PointlessOxygenThief

Hang that division banner! Let’s go

  22. BojanIZ079

Iā€™ve missed you logical fuckers. This losing streak really brought out some depressing ass people. Hell even mid 3rd quarter looked depressing in that game thread. Swear our recent success has brought in casual fans spouting nonsense.

  23. nima0003

[Singer] The #Nuggets are face-timing Davon Reed in the postgame locker room.

Multiple guys gathering around the phone.

ā€œLove you, bro,ā€ they told him.

  24. Bronco4life21

Remember how fucking awesome Jamal Murray was playing before the All Star Break. That guy is in there somewhere!

  25. Lake_Shore_Drive

Way to clinch the division, we can hang a thing in the arena!

The magic number for 1st in the West is 9, 2nd is 8, and the magic number for the third seed is 3.

If we can lock up a top 2 seed, home court can hopefully carry us on a bit of a playoff run. Seems plausible to win, say at least 6 of the next 12, and have the beam boys lose 3.

  26. Superbotto

Magic not going away. Tie game. Bol Bol playing pretty well.

  27. dblmntgum

    My key takeaways:

Hopefully that fourth quarter breaks them out of the shooting slump. The effort on defense in the first quarter was really nice to see. I really want to see Thomas Bryant succeed, but it just looks like the ball isnā€™t bouncing his way. The effort and the skill set seems to be there. Hopefully Malone doesnā€™t get all Maloney and inexplicably pull Christian Braun from the rotation for the rest of the season because of a bad two minute stint. Jalen Duren will be future third team all-NBA.

  28. n0t_malstroem

Man Orlando did some bullshit this game lol

  29. spirax919

    ‘Wipe the floor’?

It was a fucking tie game until the last 5 minutes lmao

  30. still_learning_to_be

    Nuggets barley escape the Pistons

  31. Spirited-Praline1094

That losing streak feels like a massive variance. We canā€™t really be that bad technically. But I still think the weaknesses of the team are worrying. We need Malone to change his rotations (same thing we be all been saying for years). We need a bench rotation that makes sense with an identity and go to attack on offense. Even if itā€™s just Ish playing regular season minutes to keep wear and tear off of Jamal.

It’s up to Jokic (and his mates). Ball out, get those two dubs at home and it’s his. If he plays smwhat lackadaisical like the last time against Embiid and gets fucked AT HOME, then i, and you all shouldn’t care when he doesn’t get MVP.

  33. Sufficient_Drag5

So is Reggie Jackson done at this point?

  34. ladidadi82

Hopefully it doesnā€™t come down to it but it would be crazy if the 1st seed was settled on the last game of the season.
