James Wiseman, Detroit Pistons, Jalen Duren, NBA, Marvin Bagley

  1. Ideally, Duren and Wiseman can start together. If we get Vic, Wise would probably have to come off the bench.

  2. ik some people are concerned about Duren’s height so him at PF would be ideal for now, especially if he or Wise can shoot. However, Duren’s still mad young, so he has room to grow, both literally and skill wise

  3. I just want to say Mobley can't shoot at all. He's a 21% from 3pt. So this idea that a big man lineup can only work if one of the big men can shoot is a false. It works because they elite finishers and defenders. It works because they have elite guard play. I think the lineup will work with Duran and Wiseman when Cade and Ivey are finally on the floor together collapsing the defense.

  4. Why do we have to be like Cleveland? Why can't we find our own identity?
Rebounding is mainly on the bigs shoulder, but its a team effort.

  5. If we got Victor, I'd keep V, Duren, and Wiseman. I think Wiseman is a competent Center, and can be a solid offensive punch off the bench. Maybe even the 6th man. He has great hands, can create, and has great chemistry with Ivey.

TBH Bagley and Stew are the odd mans out. I don't like Stew's game enough to think he can be a valuable piece for this team.
He doesn't play well in PNR, he is a bad target. He is a poor rebounder, falls asleep on defense, and he is far overrated as a defender.
The Piston's org and fan base are blinded by the Ben Wallace comp.

I'm just tired of the copium at this point, so pardon my rant.

  6. I think pistons should try a new wave.. Cade, Ivey, Wemby, Wiseman, Duren.. they are locking up anything 15ft in and all 3 bigs have the foot speed of forwards. Offensively omg! Id be floored if they’re not the best offensive rebounding team in the league and Wisemen already demands a double team in the paint.. Wemby is a problem from anything within 25 feet.. they should try it especially if Wiseman can be a respectable 3 pt and mid range shooter in the off season

  7. Wiseman's experience as a Warrior allowed him to develop unique intangibles . and for all those concerned about Wemby; he's a 3 not a 4, and not a 5. he even compared himself to Kevin Durant. So Victor does in fact, fit with James Wiseman at the 5, and Jalen Duren playing a hybrid 4/5 and likely spending more minutes with the second unit even though he will be listed as a "starter" . basketball isn't hard .

  8. I believe Duren will be the Starting 5 and I would like to see Wiseman have an opportunity to work on his shooting and given a chance to be the starting 4. If Wiseman ends up being a 4/5, I think he would be utilized best for his skill set (which I believe is tremendous). I see Bags as the odd man out because he can't stay healthy. I expect him to be included in a deal in the off-season and his 12.5 Mill is not great, but it is not untradeable if included in a larger deal as filler.

  9. it is not fair for you to evaluate WIseman and Duren ability to play together base strictly on the offensive side of the game. Defensively they have shown together they have the size to protect the rig and rebound and when Stewart comes back next season. The perfect starting lineup would be Duren and Stewart? and Wiseman and Bagley off the bench but size do matter because if we do not rebound and protect the paint we are not going to win even when Cunningham return. The days of Stewart Bojan and the former Piston Bey in the starting front court was a joke we were too small. Now we are dominating in the paint with Duren and Wiseman. Let them just keep developing and it will all fall in place

  10. LMFAOOO FRANCHISE!?!?! you mean current trash place holder center who would only start on a team at the bottom of the league that plans to stay there??

  11. Duren and wiseman will start together moving forward. As a rookie Duren is already a better high-low passer then Ben Wallace was. If wiseman can learn to set a screen and pass out of double and triple teams then they will be some combination.
