Why doesnโ€™t the talk about the 3 series that led up to the finals? Those 3 series were so tough as a whole (especially Bucks and Sixers).

  2. cantyouseeimblind

You gotta be good to be lucky and lucky to be good.

  3. h3yn0w75

The KD comment is fair but it drives me nuts when people bring up Klay. Raps were winning with or without him , and were up 3 games to 1 with him in the lineup.

  4. smoove11223

I see Norm is still salty that he got traded and is now with the bootleg version of the Raptors.

  5. canadianduke1980

Beating the Sixers and the Bucs that playoffs was something amazing. People seem to forget that.

  6. SnooChickens8906

Heโ€™s not wrong. And heโ€™s not bitter. Heโ€™s just answering questions

  7. YourDrunkUncl_

I get the first part, but how is it luck for players to step up in the nba finals?

just be happy you were a part of it and move on

  8. Bodies break down when they hit a wall. That’s what happened to Klay and KD when being pushed to the limit of what their bodies could handle.

Not to mention OG didn’t play at all and Kawhi was playing on 1 leg after he injured it in the Bucks series dunking on Giannis.

It’s not like we couldn’t have beat them if all players were healthy, we’d spanked them pretty good in the regular season that year.

  9. sneechesgetleeches

I don’t think we should be super offended here, to get to the NBA finals and win always requires a bit of luck and health.

  10. motherseffinjones

Time for angry fans to go after Norm again lol

  11. QuerkleIndica

I wish heโ€™d move on. I have mad respect for Norm and wish he stayed but this is getting old.

Donโ€™t hear Danny Green, Marc Gasol, Jeremy Lin and everyone else making any negative comments.

  12. EurekaEleven

Heโ€™s more than entitled to his opinion. I just donโ€™t see why he wants to put himself down constantly or try and tell everyone how much better his team is than the championship squad.

Love Norm. Grateful for his nuclear reactor scoring capability. His takes since joining LA have been pretty weak though.

  13. damilalam

This is mostly media trying to stir shit up where no real shit exists. Nothing but love for the Raptors champion Normgod.

  14. n3moh0es

ok and? heโ€™s right you need some luck to win

GS almost got upset by the LA Clippers and round one of the 2019 playoffs and that’s with KD playing who (the Clippers) absolutely had no business being in the playoffs. They were pretty horrible. So I don’t buy this whole narrative that it was an absolute lock if KD was healthy they would have stopped us.

  16. Oozeinator

Only thing missing from these talks is that we weren’t healthy either. What happens if you add OG to that run? I can argue he was our 2nd best defender and we didn’t have him at all.

To the 2nd best defender argument, we had him on LBJ in the playoffs the year before (without Kawhi).

  17. free_kark

Warriors own fault for their team construction, spend all your money on 4 players and fill the roster with fringe NBA players what do you expect to happen

  18. ImmaFunGuy

Definitely lucky with the KD injury. That team healthy is unbeatable

  19. resipsaloquitor5

Man, anyone getting mad at this needs to get a grip. We DID get a bit lucky. If you actually read what heโ€™s saying, heโ€™s clearly saying that some amount of luck is ALWAYS required to go the distance (which is true) and that the Clippers havenโ€™t been very lucky (which is also true).

Itโ€™s amazing how all of the so-called loyalty to Norm goes out the window the moment he speaks one mildly inconvenient truth about *his only ring*. You guys are acting like you have more of a dog in this fight when heโ€™s literally talking about his own ring lmao.

KD and Klay played 78 games that season because they needed them to win games and secure the playoff spot. For at least KD that played a huge role in his calf problems resulting in the Achilles injury. GSW took that risk to play them and on the other side we load managed kawhi and he was barely able to walk by the end. If you someone calls it luck, my counter argument is GSW spent their luck wasting them during the season.

  21. Max_Smrt88

Uh the SHOT by Kawhi wasn’t lucky too? Probably be the first thing anyone would mention

  22. gregorycole_

You could make this argument about every NBA finals winner!

  23. In every sport, one does need a bit of luck. The Kawhi bounce was also luck. No amt of “practising” that shot can guarantee the same outcome every time.

  24. JustIncredible240

They were lucky we didnโ€™t have O.G.

  25. Thegrinningassassin

Too funny. He would not have seen the court if OG was not injured.
