    #1 thing the Mavs need in the last few games is indisputable. A healthy and ready for playoffs Luka. It’s everything.

    Hey nick! If you haven’t seen it, you definitely need to watch one of the Kyrie pressers the last few days. I don’t remember when exactly but it was within the last few days. He mentions that the team had a big serious talk, the likes of which he said he hasn’t ever seen in his career. It sounded like a big deal for the team the way he described it, in a positive way.

    It's just frustrating how y'all go out of your way to talk about Green's role affecting his play (and how they need to sort it out), but don't give the same benefit to Wood in terms of his struggles as they relate to Kidd's inconsistent treatment of him.

    With all due respect, your assessment of Wood is at best 50% accurate. Claiming that he needs to keep a strong sense of focus is not solely his responsibility. The NBA has morphed into a league where players with above average skill sets must be catered to in some form or fashion and there is not one organization in the league who doesn’t do so for at least three players on their team. In sharing, the coaching staff/management must contribute to Woods progression because he is the 3rd best player on the team. They must show ongoing commitment to his progression by treating him as the person he is (Mavs 3rd best player). The lame excuses of him being a horrible defender, +/- guy are indisputably inaccurate when comparing individual stats of those who play the same position or play with identical lineups. The mistreatment of this guy is undeniable and just like any other human being, knowing you are unfairly being mistreated can and often has a negative impact on your ability to focus. Case in point. Wood played 28mins or more in the last 2 games resulting in Mavs wins where he was an important contributor in both (top scorer/near triple double). With his increase minutes and recent presence in 4th periods, the bad that is easily mentioned is well overshadowed by the good he has consistently given his team. But the 13 games prior where only one game he played 26mins, most fans/media were thinking the Mavs season was doomed but now they are sole holders of 6th. Without a doubt,Luka and Kyrie are the main characters of this Mavs playoff run but Wood must be their primary understudy for the run to go a long distance. It is this reason that we all need to give Wood more respect as a contributing Mavs team member.
