Do you make anything of Aaron Nesmith's expanding offensive game?
After watching this Philly game on Saturday and having it be damn near exact replica of the Game 2 weeks ago it deflated all the air out my positivity. That Game was an absolute embarrassment disgrace.
It's not enjoyable at all to watch. Buddy hield is literally soft as butter when he guards someone. I honest to God can't think of a worse defender in the entire NBA.
He doesn't look athletic when he Guards a player. People want to applaud him for never getting hurt it's because he doesn't play hard on defense.
He's always pacing himself. If Jalen smith played defense like Buddy he'd be benched for rest of the season.
Maxey was literally abusing him then de Anthony Melton abused both Buddy and Tj. Very rough game for tj turnover wise. You can't let him bully like that and pick your pocket.
Philly looks they aren't even trying and are playing a scrimmage in practice. This team HAS to make Embiid work. He's completely relaxed and unfazed.
Myles isn't afraid at all and he's almost ready to take the next step with Embiid. He's for sure not relaxed out there but he's not scared. He's just not sure how to guard him because if you breathe on him they blow the whistle
Out of all the feel good games this season and there has been alot of them. This was a very bad loss. You can't get punked like that. I don't care what antics you have to do even if it means starting a fight or doing Lance Stephenson antics. You can't let them do that two games straight. It's not even enjoyable to watch when the opposing team scores like that.
The 2nd quarter when Buddy and Myles were out and Jalen and George Hill were in they got it down to 2 points I believe and the offense looked good. Everything was flowing. They even got some stops. Literally as soon as Myles an d Buddy went back in it was a 9 point game quick.
Myles rolled his eyes after Buddy turned the ball over or did some bone headed move. The offense looks completely dysfunctional after or when Buddy goes In. He can't create his own shot. He doesn't utilize picks like Reggie Miller. All he can do is catch and shoot 3s.
What good is shooting 42 percent from 3 when the opposing player he guards scores every possesion? All I know is SOMEONE completely sucks at defense.
Who is it? Nesmith and Nembhardt allegedly play good defense. Myles allegedly plays good defense just. That leaves Nwora and Buddy. Someone in that Starting lineup completely sucks at defense because it was a literal embarrassment how easy Philly was scoring without even breaking a sweat.
I think everyone on the planet knows who completely sucks at defense and brings the entire team down. Give me one player in the entire NBA that is worse then Buddy hield on defense? I'm all ears
Miami heat stops embiid every time they play them including playoffs last year. If Max Struss and Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson can play defense so can Pacers.
I'll sound like a broken record and I don't care. Pacers will NEVER win a playoff series if Buddy Hield starts and plays 35 minutes a game. Literally zero chance this organization returns to eastern conference finals if Buddy hield starts and plays 35 minutes a game.
You think it's a coincidence literally the year Sacramento trades him they are 13 games over 500 and a two seed in the west? And Fox has ascended to a superstar caliber player literally the season after trading Buddy hield?
Sacramento never had a winning record with Buddy hield as their starter. Now they are 12 games over .500 and Pacers almost lost 17 straight games when Tyrese went out and Buddy Starting playing 35 mpg.
The year that Detrot traded Iverson to Denver for billups. The year before Iverson trade Detroit made eastern conference finals and Denver were Swept 1st rd. Literally the year after the trade Detroit didn't make playoffs and Denver went to eastern conference finals. Two years later Iverson couldn't even find a job on the roster and he could score 30 points damn near every night. So what if your team doesn't win and the players around you don't play better.
It doesn't Take much at all to ruin team chemistry. All I have to say. If one player is a complete liability on defense it brings the entire team down
