Why this was the best team ever.
1) solid elite defense with multiple shutdown defenders
2) above average shooting and they had Kerr
3) best coach of all time
4) best rebounder of all time in Rodman who can also stop any center including Shaq
5) elite chemistry
6) reliable bench
7) best player of all time in MJ
8) everyone adopted MJs confidence , it put fear into competition
It was the second unit that made that team different
They had no Scrubs in that whole team anyone could start
There's no team that I think that can beat the 96 bulls with today's rules the warriors might stay in the game up until the 3rd quarter but nobody else that's just my opinion

In the modern day league rules with the emphasis on scoring and slack defense they would have been even more dominant. Todays league is much less entertaining to watch.
Rodman was a really good rebounder before coming to the bulls,but in the presence of greatness , rodman did what other great players do and took his game to the highest level.

A lot of people probably forgot the year after 72-10 they could have won 70 again but with nothing to play for Phil Jackson sat MJ and Pippen that final game so they finish 69-13.

Harper Jordan Pippen and Rodman, all long arms, athletic, they dominated defensively. The only teams that have a chance against them in a seven game series would be the 2001 Lakers with Shaq and 2017 Warriors with Durant … a chance. 1996 Bulls were physically and mentally tough. I'm glad I got to see it.

The Bulls may have not won as many regular season games as the 72 win season because thts only 10 losses and u hv to waiver in injuries and the increase of other teammates shooting much more now because of the Curry revelation. The shots may not always go down in lieu of Jordan shooting; also the opponet is spreading the ball more and a shot could rain from anywhere not just from a Reggie Miller, hypothetically. Yet the playoffs the Bulls would become a much more dangerous team because of their focus. I also think the bench would be different players and Ron Harper may be Andrew Wiggins or someone of younger statue. I say tht because of the LeBron James revelation(collective bargoining and or free agency hold outs)
Think if Jordan had a Derozen or Holiday from the Bucks instead of Ron Harper.. OH MY GOD…MANY THINGS WOULD LOOK DIFFERENT IN TODAYS GAME BECAUSE OF LEBRONS I want to go play where I can stack my team process.
