My take: you can only blame Kidd for so much. This L is 100% on the players. Playing with no hustle, no energy, getting killed on the boards, Kyrie and Wood both getting tunnel vision and just missing the good looks we were getting.
Edit: and yes he took out Hardy but notice that our defense picked up when he was on the bench. With Hardy on the floor, Memphis erased the deficit. Damned if you keep him in, damned if you bench him.
Rewatch that fourth quarter and just watch our offensive sets. Absolutely hideous offense, yes we missed shots but Kidd is a fucking terrible coach who needs to be fired if we ever want to be a serious team . Not even mentioning him letting a 16 point lead get cut to 4 before calling a timeout lmao

Fuck Jason Kidd. Not calling a timeout during that Memphis run was inexcusable. I hope Kyrie is ok because he was definitely not the same after Brooks stepped on him.

I don’t know if that’s the worst collapse of the season, but it’s definitely the most recent.
This is just plain bad coaching. Kyrie was cold, that’s fine it happens to anyone, even Luka but for Kidd to not call any plays to get other players involved is just horrible horrible. I fucking hate the coaching from Kidd.
Genuine question, are there any Kidd defenders left? He deserves credit for getting this team to buy in and play good defense last year, and the team clearly likes him more than Carlisle, but I can’t watch any more blown leads and stagnant offense
The discrepancy in rebounds is too obvious. Cant win with no rebounders.
People act shocked but when you’re a team who relies heavily on the 3 and get destroyed on the boards you’re going to have close games and lose leads. Basically if we aren’t hot from 3 we probably lose, hence the .500 record. At least the defense looked decent at time.

Kyrie had an off 4th, but given the ankle turn and fact we don’t win that Lakers game without him hard carrying, I think we can all forgive that.
The offense needs to adapt in those situations and find a hotter hand (cough, Hardy, cough). Shouldn’t all have to be on Kyrie.
