Context matters. Coffey only plays garbage time, so the people he defends are bad. Mann is asked to guard the opposing teams best perimeter player. Batum takes the assignment when players get hot.
Also a 10 game sample size is really small.

It’s a somewhat misleading statistic because these guys have different assignments defensively. Like Batum is very often tasked with guarding the best player on the other team, so of course his percentage will be higher even if he is playing well defensively.

Paul George has stood out to me all year. He’s no longer an all-NBA player. A very good but not a great player. His defense has noticeably regressed year after year. I really wanted them to move him for Siakam or Anunoby. I wanna see next year’s clippers have a defensive identity.
