What’s going on everybody, it’s TREESE, and Jordan Poole’s dismal defensive effort has headlined many mainstream hoops articles lately, but it’s not quite that simple.

  1. I mean, dude was only shooting 33% this season and he still dared to shot 6-7 threes a game. His 1/8 vs Rockets, he was 1/6 from 3s.

I think he should limit his 3pt attempt to 5 good selection a game.

    His % when attempting above 5 3s the last 20 games: 45/132 (34%)
    His % when attempting 5 3s or below: 9/23 (39%)

More like he should stop thinking he is Steph Curry who could make contested 3s with high consistency and just take open shots instead of forcing them.

  2. I’ve realized no matter how good poole performs his mistakes will always be the highlight to you haters🤦‍♂️

  3. It's frustrating to watch Poole play. His refusal to excel is likely due to the attitude that the big money kicks in next year so he doesn't have to play great this year. That attitude spreads to the younger bench players. Plus he jaws a lot. Plus he openly rebels against Steph, Klay, Dray. Plus his defense has never improved. And Kerr & management side with him because of his youth? It's Steph, Klay & Dray who knows how to win

  4. Poole's attitude & commitment is the issue here. He can work to death but if he's not committed nor interested and his attitude is skewed the team will have a liability not an asset

  5. I still think management should have him discreetly investigated on off, they might get surprised

  6. can't believe how recency bias has taken over the nba. jordan poole is good, yeah he's effecciency is down and he's making more mistakes because he takes on more responsibilty. he'll be good. same thing with the team, it;s just bad momentum overall. the story that jordan poole ain't good enough or that he doesn't deserve the contract is bs. ya'll just way too impatient.

  7. both klay and poole this year is so frustating. both of like to hung their head, and walk slowly in defense. klay need go back to his mid shot, and poole last year maybe just one year miracle like some player in history

  8. I don't think ppl understand how much the coaching staff and front office has let jp down down and left him for dead this season just look at the bench it's either too young young or guys that are just not good enough he thrived last season on or off the bench because the warriors had solid guys to come off the bench with him their bench guys are just not good and he's usually on the floor with guys that can't finish or can't make shots for him or themselves so he has to do everything and if he is with curry they just stick him in a corner and let steph play hero ball and then klzy just chucking shots to get himself going

  9. I see a lot of people are defending poole okay let’s me say this , he is fast and quick when it’s comes offensively but when it comes defense why he can’t use quickness and his athleticism, there is zero excuses to play defense and sometimes he seems like he doesn’t put the effort our he is doesn’t care , my worries is if we play the playoffs this season and he doesn’t wanna play defense our play hard man trust me there is gonna be a discussion in the summer

  10. 😂😂😂 He doesn’t want to be on that team no more bro y’all gave him that money then his teammate punched him the start of this season you seen that was going be problem

  11. He is doing amazing considering he is playing with future Hall of Famers who have 10+ experience over him

  12. I wish they could send him back to play with the seadubs for some punishment time to tune his game up and lock him back in, that was working for him early, whenever he was getting out of hand they'd send him to the G league and he would come back playing better. He's one of those guys you have to humble a little bit here and there.

  13. i swear green messed him up after that punched poole doesn't even celebrate the same. after that punch his energy changed if im not tripping

  14. Bro im telling you curry motivates everybody his positivity radiates the team his 3 pointers killed the motivation of the opposing teams but since it has been counterd the only thing jordan poole lacks is the patience and consistency to play like he does

  15. To unlock his offense. Poole should start the game driving to the basket getting fouls. Shoot freethrows once he starts seeing the ball go through the basket then he can start taking 3s. He needs to start his offense going inside then out.

  16. JP is still an excellent back-up whenever Steph gets hurt. JP has excellent chemistry with Klay Thompson also Poole's assist's per game numbers are high which is very important in Kerr's system.

  17. why do I get the feelin that the reason Green rocket punched Poole was because Green (or rather the core members) realized Poole's weakness.

  18. The WORST investment ever!! Shouldve just save it to Klay and Dray..for the upcoming contract

  19. He has been at times part of the problem but lets not rush here. He is a good player with the potential to be great. He should be part of the warriors future not the present. After all he is only 23 years old.

  20. There is a sense that that team is falling apart due to aging and the impact of injuries and Poole is the only bright spot, but he will never be what they were at their best? But then, who will? That team is something like the Beach Boys. They can still draw a crowd but it is now a nostalgia effort, sort of like LeBron.

  21. I only think he playing like tht cus of tht draymon issue and his homie Wiggins not there either

  22. Player coming out of Michigan can’t defend. There has never been an above average defending university of Michigan player that I can think of. Every UofM player comes in as a flashy scorer that can’t impact the game in any other way. Change my mind🤷🏽‍♂️

  23. They're having their worst season since 2012 but won only 15 games in 2019 with Draymond and Steph lmao, ok

  24. bro jordan poole is a sixth man who comes off the bench. why yall think a non starter is the problem with the warriors? do you even nba?

  25. I’m not really worried about his offensive struggles. He’s a talented player he’ll find his rhythm with the warriors or another squad. But his defense makes me not a fan of him. He gets blown by because his feet are stuck in quick sand. But runs to grab the ball after 😂
