Nick Nurse all time starting 5:

    PG: FVV

    SG: Pat McCaw

    SF: Will Barton

    PF: Juancho

    C: Thad of course

  2. mMounirM

Well Siakam and Poeltl played well. OG bruh, Fred chucking. Malachi yeah but who cares.

  3. Doughy_Joey

Bout to see some crazy takes in this thread lmao

  4. Outrageous-Light3813

    2-14 from 3 4th Quarter and 9 missed free throws 😎💪🏼

  5. Cheechers23

Raps shot 7/34 from 3. Indiana shot 11/21. That mostly summarizes this game.

Also my god FVV and OG were brick city tonight. Without Scottie and GTJ we really needed them. Sure Fred had 28 points but 7/22 shooting and 3/12 from 3 is a PHAT yikes. OG with 7 points on 2/13 shooting is ugly.

Pascal was honestly elite offensively tonight. Pacers loaded up on him in the first half so his FGA were low. They weren’t doing it as much in the second half and he torched them. But man his effort defensively was really really bad, especially in the first half.

  6. cantyouseeimblind

No three point shooting and no ability to get stops. Story of the season.

  7. MaestusDr

Great loss. Get closer to Bulls, Pelicans, Lakers and Pacers passing us for draft positioning. Still get in the last play in to please Masai and his championship hopes.

  8. UjiriWatcher

Love that Nembhard and Kessler both sonned us in front of Masai

  9. Gravity--

We’re down 3 rotation players and Thad doesn’t even get a single minute of playing time

why did we trade our first again?

  10. Knew we would lose the game when that Fred bricked 3 led to a transition bucket and he followed it up with 2 more bricks

  11. UncleNuks

Another 4th quarter dud? 1 for 11 from deep down the stretch? Malachi getting closing time minutes? Losing a pivotal game at home on two days rest? What are we even talking about here?!?

I think I’m done setting time aside for the Raps this year. I’ll still tune in from time to time and will still check The Score app and this sub, but I’m definitely not committing 2+ hours and moving around schedules to watch this shit 9 more times lol

  12. GlennethGould

Anyone thinks we’re a playoff team: why?

  13. hoennking502

Loving it, let’s stay at the 9 or 10th and get eliminated by bulls

Don’t want Mlse too get any playoff revenue

    This team is dog shit

Omg we beat the timberwolves after they played 2 OT game on back to back

    We’re so goodddd

  14. ImmaFunGuy

I dont want to hear any positive takes about this team, core, or being buyers at the deadline

  15. MaestusDr

Tank commander FVV did his thing.

Terrible loss in a season full of Terrible losses. Fred played worse than his statline showed. Some trash shots that led to easy buckets and couldn’t contain Nembhard at all. Also if Masai ever plans to actually make a top 5 shooting team he’s gotta change 90 percent of the roster

  17. RaptorRespecter

Can’t win in today’s league shooting 7/34 from 3. If the Raps shot league average from 3 this is a W.

    Hello darkness, my old friend

    Fvv 42 mins

    Pascal 40 mins

1/13 from 3 in the 4th quarter alone (and no, I’m not counting that last sec 3 from Chris 😂)

A rookie outplaying both of our “stars”

In saying all this… Will Lou’s reaction pod should be generational. Can’t wait to listen to it during tmrw’s commute

EDIT: A rookie PG outplaying our star PG***

Pascal played great. Great statline & shit but idk if it’s just me but seems like he was invisible in crunch time. Maybe I’m wrong

  19. RZAAMRIINF

Another struggle ball performance by the Midtors.

Really curious how the FO approaches this year’s draft.

To-date the strategy, vision 6’9 or whatever you want to call it, clearly though the MO of the team is to draft based on athleticism, character and fundementals and ASSUME you can teach that player skills.

But, the NBA is now more than ever a skill league. Things like dribbling creativity and combos, finishing in traffic, shooting off the dribble — these aren’t things you can just get good at if you don’t have a baseline level of doing them by the time you’re being drafted. You can’t just teach OG how to dribble like Paul George.

The team has not shown they can develop skill. They can develop SET shooting. They can teach reads. That’s it. Clearly, it’s not enough – the team needs to start prioritizing skill in the draft and in the players it aquires through trade and free agency.

If you were to compare the basic skill sliders of this team, they’d be on the losing end against basically every roster in the NBA.

Shooting? Worse. Passing? Worse. Dribbling? Worse. Shot creation? Worse. Play making? Average (but what good is that if they guy you’re passing to can’t throw it into the ocean?).

  21. WarpFear

I’ve seen better shooting at local CYO games

  22. El-Misanthrope

you missed 10 free throws, you lost by 4 points

also maybe shooting better than 20% from 3 and/or not allowing your opponent to shoot over 50% didn’t help

  23. VikGrabo84

Jakob is so pleasantly efficient down low – doesn’t even matter who is passing to him – he’s just so strong on the ball.

UNFORTUNATELY, the offence can’t get much going outside of their pick and roll action; shots from the corner for OG were decent looks, but they were relatively well-contested. Ball needs to move more, ball needs to move faster, and shots have to be going up automatically.

Defense still bad; so annoying to hear Matt being impressed by Raptors holding Indiana to “only” 86 points through 38 minutes. That’s on pace for like 108 points – it’s not that spectacular.

  24. ilickedysharks

Also Dowtin actually played good and never saw the floor in the second half? Like I’m good with moving on from nurse fred pascal this season has been torture

  25. drewtheblueduck

These guys were down by 2 with like 5 minutes left and started rushing down the court and chucking the first shot they got, it was driving me nuts

  26. Moonshine_Papi

“I feel like 6th is still reachable. Most definitely!” – delusional ass Fred.

  27. Can we just use this momentum to hard tank for the final stretch? They want to make the play-in for what exactly? To not even make the playoffs? Maybe they get lucky and get swept by the Bucks? Oooo exciting!

  28. Legitimate-Row7081

this team is complete shit! we struggle to beat tanking teams right now who are setup to have a better future than us! wtf was masai thinking, believing in this garbage core. lol we fucked up our chances at a top pick for this?

  29. AngryHelicopter

Will Barton missed the rim entirely on a completely wide open uncontested three point attempt to cap off an 0/5 shooting night. What a shitty signing.

  30. zigmatters

We waived Juancho for Will Barton because we needed a backup PG. Keep reading that sentence over and over if you’re wondering why we suck ass

  31. AngryHelicopter

Last week Nick Nurse was saying that OG’s inconsistent shooting earlier this season was because he was playing through hand injuries that had finally healed, and that’s why he was on such a run. This game his hand was taped again and he was shaking the pain out of it a bunch of times.

  32. ImmaFunGuy

If this FO goes through another summer of “run it back, sign some bottom barrel Thad/Barton level players, believe in your team” crap I am officially out on this FO

  33. There is not one redeeming quality about this team, aside from maybe the potential of Scotties future. The players suck, the coaches suck, Masai and Bobby have done nothing. I don’t know how you can watch this team all season and think, “yeah, we got a squad here”. Like what is the point of making the play-ins to get experience (because this team won’t make it out of them, if they even make it at this point lmao) when most people need to go? We’re not even the fun to watch bad, we’re just bad.

  34. I feel like that Spongebob meme applies to the compete fans

“How many times do we gotta teach you this lesson old man??”

  35. zigmatters

It’s funny how polarizing each of our starter’s flaws are. Siakam’s shooting in the clutch, Fred’s tunnel vision/getting blown by, Gary’s reaching, OG’s awkward dribbling and now we added Poeltl’s FT shooting. It’s a wreck because you know you’ll see each over and over. Save us Scottie

  36. cad_internet

Will Lou losing his shit in the post-game podcast.

Going in hard on the shot selection (for good reason).
