As a refs fan, I really enjoyed this game tonight

  2. hrashid88

Our defense was bad, but holy hell were the refs egregiously biased

  3. I hope there’s no doom and gloom. We just need to play a modicum of defense. Offense is still rolling even with Randle shitty night.

We still 2 games up om the 6th spot. We need to win tomorrow and we need to bbeat MIA next week.

It’s not time to panic yet

  4. larockhead1

8 games two game lead beat the heat when they are coming off the back to back makes it a 4 game lead with 5 to go

  5. adnanistheogfam

Gotta get our defense back to what it was before the minny game

  6. A lot of reasons the Knicks lost tonight but this was one of the worst officiated games I’ve ever watched.

  7. BenBlake32

That was a tough watch fam. Emotional night, defensive lapses, shitty refs, turnovers, and a terrible shooting team that couldnt miss tonight.

Back at it tmrw, let’s go Knicks.

  8. Buckskinplacebo

Jimmy butler got some dirt on these dudes or something.

  9. teknomatic

The heat are 27th in the league in field goal percentage and we let them shoot 57 percent in the game. Our offense has been fine, but the defense needs to get their shit together. It was bad last game too

  10. zOmgFishes

Terrible overall games from Randle and IQ. Brunson was great on offense but gave up as much..if not more on defense.

  11. Sonsof_Manarchy

The third quarter was the worst officiating I have ever seen.

  12. OnymousCormorant

Game was horribly officiated but we don’t look good. People complain this sub is too pessimistic but we are reverting to 2021 Knicks defense of everyone dropping 20 3s on us

  13. Tough lost but we gotta win tomorrow and cavs win against Brooklyn to have a bit of cushion still for 5th
Heat next game is sat against of course the nets so hopefully it’s the nets that come out on top

  14. tropic_gnome_hunter

I don’t know what peak r/nyknicks is, but I have to imagine it’s saying “can’t even be mad” at this team allowing 2 straight 60% shooting performances and dropping another game putting them only 2 and a half games out of the play in.

  15. asapfetty

I can’t even get mad at that loss. How can you win with the officiating so one sided?

Brunson’s defense is becoming concerning though. They are targeting him out there. Anyone know what changed?

    – A somber week of Knicks basketball. Tonight’s loss pales in comparison to the loss of our captain, the legendary Willis Reed.
    – Major props to Clyde (and Mike) for the reverence and respect he showed for Willis. Tonight’s game couldn’t have been easy to call for him, but he made it look like another day in the office. Brunson was good as always, Grimes & Star-J both played well, too. It was a mostly silent night for Randle.
    – Officiating was pure dogshit tonight, as it is most nights. Ticky-tack foul calls and unbalanced refereeing, as is tradition in this league.
    – The Knicks had no problem scoring, but they had major problems with defense. Butler, Herro, and Gabe Vincent (of all people) were the standouts. Traded baskets with them for way too long. The worst scoring offense in the league put up 127 points on them. Yuck
    – I should be happy the Magic are up next, but you never know with this team…

  17. RJ-Burner

Really bad game refs were fuckin horrible tonight defense couldnt do shit randle and quickley played bad and thibs didn’t sub in grimes until 3 minutes left in the 4th

  18. hopoffmebruh

Perimeter defense did us in early on. Say what you want about crazy shots falling for Miami…they let them get hot early and they didn’t apply pressure till halfway through the 4th.

You let players get confident like that of course they’re gonna hit crazy shots in your face they’re not scared of you if they’ve been lighting you up all game.

  19. that sign-off between clyde and mike…it will never be better than those two!

  20. Sauce0rLoss

Frustrating game to watch. Even by going easy on the refs, the 7 points we lost by can easily be attributed to them. Kevin Love pulling Hart down, the uncalled five second violation and the multiple moving screens Bam had does it.

Poor games from Randle and Brunson until the end. Grimes not being put in for the first 9 minutes of the fourth was a huge mistake imo. Glad we hustled until the end but this game easily could’ve been a W.

  21. Living_Internet_2970

Fuck Miami. Let’s win tomorrow and get back home with a dub

  22. If you’re a ref and you see Lowry fall on the floor for the 1,000th time, how are you giving him another call?

  23. spaceninj

Just move on to the next one.

    We control our own fate.

  24. larockhead1

Miami and nets play Saturday Knicks need to just do the job tomorrow and Monday

  25. LeftyMode

It’s going to be a tough game tomorrow after this clusterfuck of a game against the Miami ~~Refs~~ Heat.

  26. BigBill099

I know Randle has been excellent all year, but his act is really getting tired man.

  27. I hope Thibs lights a fire under their ass and gets them going on D, we can’t let these types of games continue to happen

  28. the defense has been beyond awful the past two games…infuriatingly bad…could accept this if they simply won easy home games against either Charlotte or Minnesota

have a back to back now in Orlando…lead down to 2 against Miami…def worried if this does not get somewhat corrected soon

  29. wmetcalf74

Tough loss but that little moment between clyde n mike after the game reminded me what really matters, beautiful, RIP capt

  30. larockhead1

Magic number is 6 for the 5 seed and playin avoidance I think it’s 6 even tho nets and heat play

  31. Hemispheres33

Shoutout to Clyde for commentating tonight. Him and Mike did an excellent job as usual in what must have been a very emotional period for them. The GOAT broadcasting duo.

For the game itself; RJ, Brunson and Grimes all had great offensive nights. IQ and Randle struggled. But like the Minny game, the story was the defense. Don’t know if it’s tired legs but lets hope they can fix it before the playoffs start.

  32. spaceninj

8 games left with an easy schedule.

Let’s say we go 4-4 (we should do better), then both Miami and Brooklyn will need to go at least 6-2 to knock us into 7th.

    We’re in a good spot.

  33. That possession when we trapped Butler against the sideline at half-court, when he spun around on one foot, then hopped onto the other foot to try and throw a jump pass, and got a foul… That call alone should get these refs kicked in the gonads.

  34. Braunb8888

Quickley needs to start forcing the issue at the basket, taking way too many 3s right now and that’s not really his game and it’s cost us 2 straight.

  35. i_am_the_senate_

This one was always gonna be tough, but the defense is becoming a concern. We’re giving up way too many 3’s. Tomorrow night is definitely a must win now

  36. Lovejones722

Julius has to keep his cool but he has a legit beef. The nba cannot continue to reward finesse players with this many free throws. Too see jimmy get awarded 10 free throws and him receiving half the contact Julius received is crazy. Why is that the case bro???? It’s getting annoying.

  37. Take this L and get ready to take another at MSG. Let’s go Heat chants coming soon suckers

  38. You’d think we’d show a little more defensive effort after last game
