  1. Damn that is heart wrenching, I know Breen was shedding a tear.

We take them for granted. Even with all the praise they get, it’s not enough. Best in all of sports.

The pain in Clyde’s voice is deep. Breen is such a good friend, sticking with Clyde through it all. You can tell a lot about a man from the way he carries himself in times of distress, and Breen is a quality man. For Clyde, though, I hope he continues to surround himself with people who love him and care for his well-being because heartache is real and it can cause quick decline in older people.

Beyond anything that happened in tonight’s game, we must always remember the bigger picture. We all love you, Clyde, and we are with you in your time of pain and loss.

Tell the people you love you love them while they’re still here

Clyde being so strong for the broadcast/Willis is making him proud. It’s ok Clyde we’re all shedding the tears for you.

    We love you too Mike!!!!

Rest in peace Willis, a real NYK Legend. This one hurts.

Clyde is a great example for all of us, and he credits Willis for showing him the way. Says everything you need to know about Willis

We’re so lucky to have these two.

GOATs. It’s not close and they won’t be eclipsed. We are blessed.

These guys deserve to call a NYK championship before they hang it up

I didn’t see the whole broadcast but I did catch this part. I could feel Mike Breen’s emotions through his words here and even I started to get choked up a bit. This must’ve been a really hard game for these guys to work tonight. Much love goes out to these guys for everything they’ve done and continue to do. 🧡💙

We are so blessed to have had such inspirational players and a fan base, as rabid as we are, that truly loves the team and the players that have been the face of the franchise. We are blessed to have guys like Breen and Clyde who just enjoy the beautiful game of basketball and talk about it so eloquently with minimal bias. I watch a lot of broadcasts and these 2 are the absolute best.

Willis Reed was such an amazing player and, based on my knowledge, a fantastic person. He was a great leader and an absolute beast on the court. For such a historic franchise, this man will always be remembered for the imprint he left and how he helped bring us to the promised land. I can’t even imagine what it is like to have been a Knicks fan in that era. Perhaps it didn’t seem so special at the time but those were the best years we ever had as a franchise. RIP Willis.

The show must go on, as Clyde said, but it’s very important to let your emotions out so you can grieve and come to terms with the reality of things. I would love for this squad to make it to the promised land and join the likes of Willis, Clyde, Barnett, Monroe. Those guys were the absolute OGs of the NBA. Never forgotten.

Thank you Clyde as a young guy in his 20s I obviously didn’t get to watch Willis Reed play and your commentating today really showed me what type of player he was and how we won the championship back then. I’m sure we all wanted to hear you speak about it tonight.

Thank you Mike as well with the great questions during the game and just helping Clyde.
