If Cuban could answer why all his players were on the other side of the court, and not one of them was on the sideline waiting to inbound the ball (as some idiots here have claimed “coz they thought they would inbound from half court” – spoiler alert: it wasn’t the last two minutes or OT), then he has a point to protest.

We just gonna gloss over that the timeout was over the mavs we’re on the floor…but on the wrong end? Even if it was their ball (which it wasn’t) why are they all on the wrong end of the court? If they were on the correct end of the floor, they would have got their clarification when the warriors were taking it out. But without being an expert, to Vince’s point..unless there is some sort of violation, it’s not the refs job or responsibility to literally tell a team “hey, you are lined up and standing on the wrong end of the floor.

What I don't understand is why the Mavs were standing on that side of the court if they were thinking it's their ball ? 2 of the Mavs should have gone to take the throw where the ball had gone out which was under the Warriors basket. Anyway this loss is not because of this incident, there was plenty of time left on the clock for Mavs to win, this loss will be on Mark Cuban for the Kyrie trade.

I think it's really as simple as the Dallas announcer screwed all of this up. They incorrectly announced that it was Dallas ball. Even then though why were the Dallas players on the other side, it's not like they would be able to advance the ball so someone should have been there to inbound it either way.
First off, the call was wrong, it was off Looney, so there is that.

I hope the league watches this game in it's entirety. Cause ANYONE who knows the game of basketball would tell you that the Warriors were getting hosed all night by the refs (particularly the young, inexperienced one). How could that ego maniac actually complain and try to protest? Again, I have rarely EVER seen a worse officiated game and so one-sided. Steph did not shoot ONE FT all night? Not one? How is that possible? Go look at how many times he got fouled compared the calls than Luka was getting. It was insane. That Lamb no call was insane? That led to 3 pts? That was far more egregious that any other call in the entire game.
Also, let's say it was a 3 point game with 1.7 secs to go. All the Warriors had to do was foul immediately as soon as Dallas inbounded the ball? Dallas player gets two FTs – game over!

Whether the Mavs win the appeal or not, this film will not be used by the NBA to train it's officials how to properly handle an in bounds situation. The refs butchered a simple in-bounds call by not making their ruling clear to both teams, which is a requirement for all refs to do. Costing the Mavs 2 points in a 2 point loss. (Do the math)
