As an RJ Stan, he was the worst player on the floor tonight. Just looks stuck in the mud out there

  2. OnymousCormorant

I think the sub has earned the right to be pessimistic again

  3. spaceninj

Defense went to shit at the end.

    RJ was shit all game.

  4. asapfetty

We really trying to sell the 5th seed huh?

    – The Knicks losing is bad enough, being forced to watch the game on NBA TV with no Mike & Clyde was worse. No Brunson changes this team.
    – Quickley, Grimes, and Randle were the only Knicks that scored much tonight. Mitch defended & rebounded well. Everyone else was just there
    – Waiting until halfway through the third quarter to turn it up isn’t gonna win you games, especially if you can’t get stops. The Magic had an answer for every punch they took. Perimeter defense wasn’t good enough.
    – YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK 🤢🤮

  6. ThatInception

This team picked a hell of a time to go on a funk, offensively and defensively

Gotta get this shit together because this game, particularly the 2nd quarter was disgusting to watch

  7. HeyKim0oOo

Knicks defense and giving up wide open threes. Name a more iconic duo lol

  8. asapfetty

7/8 from 3 in the 4th from the 23rd ranked 3 point shooting team.

We haven’t played our best these last 3 games, but the 3 point shooting variance has been crazy

  9. Thelastpope16

Basically rj and obi(-20) vs the Wagner bros (+13) was the difference

  10. JTsoICEYY

RJ is awful. 10 pts in 30 min against a bad team in a must win game. Awful.

  11. Where do I start?

As a team, the defense has just fallen apart. Aside from that 3rd quarter run, we give up way too many open 3s and drives to guards. It’s been the case the past 3 games, and we don’t have the offense to make up for it. Too many turnovers and bad shots as well. FT shooting was bad again tonight. 20-26 is not good enough. We got better each quarter offensively this game, but after having our best defensive quarter in what felt like weeks, we had a horrendous 4th quarter defensively.

On a more individual basis, Grimes and Hartenstein did their parts, the rest of the team did not. RJ had more turnovers than FGs made… That says it all. Too much aimless dribbling by him today. IQ’s 1st half was aggravating to watch. So many dumb passes and shots. His shot selection and decision making has been in the dumps for a bit now.

Randle’s meltdown at half will be what most will talk about. The refs haven’t given him anything, so I get being frustrated, but to get another tech and yell at Quick in public, even if frustration played a factor, just shouldn’t happen. To Randle’s credit, he did have an okay 2nd half. Mostly kept his head down.

It’s insane that we actually could’ve won the past 3 games but screwed up each time due to our defense collapsing conflating with the refs not giving us anything. We got better each quarter offensively this game, but after having our best defensive quarter in what felt like weeks, we had a horrendous 4th quarter defensively that sank us. Every time we got a big 3 or and 1, the Magic just waltzed down the floor and swished a 3 to rip our heart out. Doesn’t matter how bad the team shoots from 3. Give them open looks and they will get into a rhythm most of the time.

At least the Knicks have till Monday off to recover from the plane trip and get their heads and bodies back in condition. They better not let the Rockets embarrass them at the Garden. With Brooklyn dead on our tails, they better pull together.

  12. Honestly, RJ needs to go. It’s really that simple. Maybe this just isn’t the right team for him, and he’ll flourish elsewhere, but he can’t stay here.

Julius is a fantastic player, but the line that separates him from superstar is purely mental. He lets his anger control him, and that’s not the guy you want leading your team. Jalen Brunson is this teams saviour, make no mistake. He’s the superstar calibre player because he does not let his frustration show in the same way. He also keeps Julius in check.

I don’t think we’re a play-in team now that we have Jalen but if we don’t have him available and we’re not at 100% energy that day, it doesn’t come together.

Bro are we good or are we trash? Honestly I don’t even know anymore

  14. Jimmit79

Everytime this season I wanted to give props to our FO but then I remember they paid RJ even though they had lot of time to decide.

  15. Some_Cringey_Random

they know how much this team needs brunson, theyre gonna hold him back as much as they can until playoffs

  16. Substance8967

Cavs just bailed us the fuck out lol jesus

  17. Froggy2345

Obi.. a minus 25… time to admit he’s a bust… Mitch.. 1 point in 31 minutes…spends too much on twitter… RJ… so inconsistent game to game…. Would love to see Knicks dump these 3, trade some draft picks and get a real star player and more impactful players
