Okay, this scares me. Last time my Cats won by five points in a thrilling overtime game in the Sweet 16 and faced a Cinderella team in the Elite Eight, they lost in the Eight. The difference is, in 2010, KSU played Xavier late at night on Thursday and then had to play Butler early in the morning on Saturday, and you could tell our boys were still worn out. At least the Cats got plenty of time to rest last night after it was over. But we can't look past FAU, can we? They knocked off a pretty good Tennessee team last night.

Very exciting game…one of the best in tourney thus far. Credit clearly due to Spartans for advancing farther than any other Big-Ten team this year. At least one over-achieved…actually Penn State entered tournament on a strong run.
Speaking of Big-10, in three tournament years since the 2020 Covid cancellation, no Big-10 teams have reached the Final Four and but one (MI) has made it to a Regional Final (elite 8).

I like exciting games but my gosh both defenses were horrible. FAU is going to be a completely different game for the cats. They better come ready. Would be surprised if neither team makes it to 70 points.
