Yes!!! I have been praying about this for years…. Let’s make it happen!!! That being said, Cs would be crazy to let him go for nothing. I’m not convinced that Cs will let him go, period. There aren’t too many players I would trade JC for, but JB is in that short list. Basketball God, please make this happen!!!

As much as I'd hate to see Brown leave Boston, I can see it being inevitable considering all the franchise has put him through. With any luck we keep him and with no luck we trade him for a king's ransom. Best wishes for JB 🍀

Not sure if Celtics accept, but I personally think this makes sense for both teams, especially if it becomes somewhat clear that Jaylen Brown will leave Boston soon, and Atlanta wants to bring him home, where he belongs, and attended Wheeler High School, as Jaylen Brown, has more connections to Atlanta than Boston as he grew up in Atlanta:
Hawks receive: Jaylen Brown
Celtics receive: Dejounte Murray, Saddiq Bey, AJ Griffin, 2 firsts
I personally think this makes sense for both teams. Both teams have a push-and-pull, "your turn my turn dynamic" between their two stars. Dejounte Murray and Trae Young are both playmakers who need the ball and control the ball in the same type of way, creating some redundancies in their playstyles. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are both score-first players, which also creates a bit of redundancy there as well.
Regardless of talent, I believe Jayson Tatum fits better with Dejounte Murray than Jaylen Brown as Dejounte Murray is a defensive PG who can get him the ball unlike Jaylen Brown, who is a score-first wing although he is a great defender. There is less overlap from a skills and playstyle standpoint with pairing Jayson Tatum with Dejounte Murray than pairing Jayson Tatum with Jaylen Brown.
Likewise, I believe Trae Young fits better with Jaylen Brown than Dejounte Murray as Jaylen Brown is taller and hides Trae Young's defensive weaknesses better while also being a score-first complement to Trae Young's elite playmaking, unlike pairing Trae Young with another playmaker who needs the ball in his hands like Dejounte Murray. The ball will be in Trae Young's hands more if Jaylen Brown is his backcourt partner compared to Dejounte Murray as his backcourt partner, if Atlanta wants to prioritize putting the ball in Trae Young's hands more often.
People can argue the value, but this trade makes too much sense in my opinion for both teams, regardless of whether it occurs or not.
Jaylen Brown is an Atlantan first, then a Bostonian. He has more connections to the city of Atlanta and is from the city of Atlanta, unlike Boston. Celtics fans can argue whatever they want, but at the end of the day, home will always be where the heart is at for any given person, no matter what.

What would the Celtics want, a big and a wing, I say Clint and hunter or Bogdan salaries will match, Boston will trade before they let him walk away
The Hawks don't have the assets to get it done.. Also makes kinda no sense since the Hawks already have Murray and the Celtics wouldn't want Murray since they would instead want another young wing to replace Browns production. Don't be thinking the Celtics are just going to accept your scraps for their star player and a lot more teams have way more assets to give.

collins is the perfect energy guy for the celtics. infectious glue guy. murray is the much needed elite offensive pg for the them as well. plus, you dont lose much on the defensive end. youll be giving up some size, but the perimeter will be hell for the other team. celtics will basically have 4 defensive guards, all of whom has offensive chops. jaylen brown is a much better shooter, bigger defender to offset trae's size, and a very reliable shot creator. him and hunter will be very effective funneling drives towards capela.
