Simply fell apart on the road against the best team in the West on the second night of a back to back. Shit happens.

  2. SocksandSmocks

I would’ve liked to see the game happening in the first half for a full 48, that was actually fun as hell all around.

Tbh this was always gonna be a really tough one. This is exactly how the bucks will lose games in the playoffs though, foul trouble and role players selling (25% from 3!). However, it’s gotta happen 4 times in a series, and I don’t think it will if we keep the one seed.

  3. giannisfan2007

They shot 42% from three, we shot 25%. It happens.

  4. KnightN1ght2

Did the half court offense sucked? Yes Did three pointer not go in the 2nd half? Yes Did the refs cost us 15+ plus possessions? Yes

  5. AJohns-US

1st half Bucks and 2nd half Bucks looked like two completely different teams. Giannis Brook and Grayson were the only ones who looked like they wanted it

  6. 414Myles

Bad performance. Bad officiating. Bad commentary.

Not a great night for the program. On to Detroit.

  7. undermon

That game goes very differently if Brook Lopez plays more than 19 minutes

  8. DelanoJ

People can say the refs calls didn’t matter because we weren’t making shots but fuckin A man those calls changed the entire competitiveness of the game and threw a fun game way outta whack. Bucks literally were rattled from the refs calls

  9. dusters

It’s one thing to lose. It’s another to lose while getting repeatedly kicked in the nuts by the refs.

  10. Skeleboi846

Came out with strong energy but Brook in foul trouble really fucks up our defense, this reminded me of last year a lot when Giannis-Bobby were playing the 5 in place of Brook and it always felt like it fell apart late then too.

Shooting night was absolutely awful too, but hey all we can do is keep rolling. Detroit and the Pacers up next before the Celtics, and at least we’ll be back in Fiserv for the Celtics game!

  11. KuchEconomy

Need to lose like that right now before were deep into April. That game was medicine to learn something and not get too confident.

  12. dawunderwaffle

The panic and bitching here is crazy, it’s okay to be upset and yes the refs might have had some questionable calls, but you won’t win games shooting 25% from the field in the second half. Nuggets shot well from three and played good defence. Crying about refs just makes the fanbase look entitled and whiny and it’s not a good look.

  13. beenhadballs

Sleep aid: Just heard an interesting stat that out of 40+ years of being tracked, a team beating both Utah & Denver on a b2b mountain run has only happened 13 times. Somehow the pistons this year was one of those lol

  14. seattle_raptors

Middleton needs to be much better than that and time is running out.

  15. ScrewAnalytics

So sick of bipolar Grayson Allen btw. One game he’ll shoot 65% from three, and then for the next week he’ll suck ass

  16. iLoveBrazilianGirls

Giannis haters in full force on /r/nba. I’m going to be so toxic when Giannis hoists the FMVP trophy in June.

  17. ideasrbproof

Some calls went here and there but that’s OK but I realised how terrible and woeful the refs were when that Jokic push on that Middleton out of bounds call wasn’t called a foul. That was a blatant foul and that should have been Bucks ball. That lady ref specifically had a perfect view of it and the game was 90-83. After that, Nuggets got the ball and Murray 3 and it was a 10 point lead and things just escalated from there. Really disappointed in our 3 point shooting but Malone screaming like a baby in the 1st half actually worked on these dogshit refs.

  18. Mustard_Jam

The refs were bad but I don’t get why so often against good team everyone but Giannis starts bricking everything. It wouldn’t be an issue if it was one game but it just gives playoffs flashbacks. Build a wall, force Giannis to pass, and watch everyone brick shots. Holiday also needs to be better in big games. Way too many 30% from the field type of games.

  19. leesionn

Our shooters couldn’t do the one thing they’re paid to do. We were second game of a back to back as opposed to 2 days of rest by the nuggets.

But my god the refs. Jokic took 6 threes as opposed to giannis’ 3. Jokic attempts 6 free throws a game this season: 11 tonight. Giannis attempts 13, with 7 tonight. You cannot say that there isn’t at least a bit of a ref job even if our team is sucking hot ass

  20. 414Myles

The Celtics game on Thursday is going to determine who takes the 1 seed IMO

  21. John_DaleCP

It was bound to happen because of the tough back-to-back, but these games are so infuriating where Giannis is dominating the first half, and then in the second half opposition sends everybody on him and packing up the paint but nobody hitting threes or doing anything with the ball. Reminded me of the Bucks in December.

Green and Brown buzzer beating threes were the back breaker, dudes just haunting us from the Nets series…

  22. mholbach

Okay am I crazy or was the foul call at 6:50 left after Giannis stripped jokic the possession before he got a tech not an obvious clear path foul? Was a 2 on 1 and the nuggets player fouled while chasing from behind. Anyone have a replay of it?

Would’ve lost anyways but I feel like I’m imagining things

  23. Voidgobblin

Tough loss. It sucked the schedule wasn’t helping us b2b wasn’t good. We got into foul trouble. Would’ve liked a win against the nuggets but it’s alright. We got ref balled . Our offence horrible though couldn’t make a shot. Thought the guys were tired in the second half missing easy shot. It’s alright.

  24. RedditChoseMyUserNam

Absolute domination from the Nuggets. Bucks better be afraid they don’t see them Nuggs in the finals or they losing easily to Jokic

  25. brickerbill

This loss means fuck all given the circumstances, but I think we have to think twice about our offense in the playoffs. Giannis is obviously incredible, but jrue practically disappears when facing good defenses and khris hasn’t quite been at the level that he was at in the playoffs when we won the whole thing. Given the fact that it’s essentially a guarantee that most of our role players disappear as well on offense in the playoffs, it looks like it’s going to have to be a giannis+khris carry job for us to do it again. Mostly, it’s going to have to be our defense, however. We don’t have to be worried, but hopefully khris has a good game against one of the sixers or celtics coming up.

  26. The NBA game is an absolutely a joke. Now obviously that was a shit game so you can call me a hater or overreacting but these are thoughts I’ve had for a long time.

The NBA product is absolutely garbage right now for three main reasons 1. The play 2. The officiating and 3. The schedule/structure.

    1. The play: the actual product that’s on the court is just boring to watch it’s become a three-point and dunk fest and the players are allowed to get away with everything. I love Giannis but he is included in this. The extra steps, carrying or palming the basketball, changing pivot foots, illegal screens it’s ridiculous and isn’t real basketball. And I don’t care you can call me an old head or a hater but it’s just the truth. The game isn’t being played the way it was intended. Watching replays you see how much they get away with.

    2. The officiating: because of the point above it is really hard to be an NBA official. The players are allowed to get away with so much that they’ve manipulated this and so officials are trying to make the correct call but are being baited. Or you see what happens tonight which is officials take over the game. An even worse aspect which you see all the time is “make up calls” the amount of times officials wait to see if the shot is missed or call a tick tac foul because they messed up on the other end is ridiculous. There is no rhyme or reason between what they call and what they don’t, they’ll allow Superstars to get fouls on soft contact but allow centers to absolutely mug people on screens and down below. They also allow players/coaches to physically touch officials in manipulate them with their conversations to sway overall game officiating..this needs to stop.

    3. The schedule: because of the first two points above we’re seeing less and less players actually play the sport for the love of it.

****Damian Lillard just went on JJ Reddicks podcast and discuss this in length but the psychological aspect of the NBA game and I absolutely think it’s fascinating. Everyone should go check it out.

You have players not even wanting to play in regular season games because they know that the regular season is a joke for the most part. This is even compounded when you look at the schedule.. how can you have a game like tonight with so much magnitude with two of the best players in the game and one team has two days off and the other is playing in a back-to-back… In fact why the teams even have back-to-backs?! I’ll tell you why because it always comes down to mone,y the NBA gets most of its revenue from the TV deals. So they’re going to schedule certain games for certain time slots for “prime time” even if it doesn’t logistically make sense.

In conclusion this is why at it’s core the NBA won’t change for the better. They, like everything in today’s world, only care about $$$$. The NBA product could be 10X better with less games, stricter rules, and accountability. I mean look at the NBA media landscape they would rather do clickbait trash topics then I actually have meaningful dialogue about the game and it’s players.

Again you can sit here and call me a hater or an old head but the reality is the NBA product hasn’t been good for some time and yes Playoff NBA is better but that’s such a small portion of the whole season. I love the Bucks and will watch most of the time but it’s been hard to watch over the years as a ture basketball fan.

  27. ParistoLagos

The Bucks have lost every games they’ve played on Saturday for 3 straight weekends.

  28. WeefBellington24

Tough game. Looked like we had good flow in the first half and then it just went off the rails.

  29. starter-123

This one might be droppable due to b2b and the opponent strength. But when it really matters (yeah those two games vs bos & phi), hope they are prepared.

Losing to denver seems not a big news. They’ve always been blown ** out nearly every time since Jokic joined denver. This may not a problem in the past because denver never had the chance to come out of the west. But this time beware of meeting them in the finals.

  30. I would’ve helped if anyone other than Giannis played decently

  31. aaalan71

    Score difference: 129-106=23

    Khris+Jrue score: 13+9=22

    Murray+Porter Jr. score: 19+26=45

    45-22=23

Guys, I think I’ve found why we lost.

  32. JuiceMayo

Not one to complain about refs but that was bad tonight. Lady ref was on some personal shit

  33. ImStillNotThatGuy

Alright, we’re up 2 games on the Celtics for 1st. Boston and us both face 2 sub .500 teams before the game on the 30th in Milwaukee. We need to win that game.

  34. Ok_Mountain_4638

Jokic is a known playoff choker. Lebum will humble him. No wonder he has no rings

  35. realmarcusjones

I just want them to win on a Saturday man. Shit is annoying.

  36. ProofHorseKzoo

    Ass scheduling

    Ass officiating

    Ass second half shooting

We had the cards heavily stacked against us this one. Got punched in the dick repeatedly by the refs and didn’t respond well. Learn from it. Move on. Gonna be a common occurrence come playoff time with the teams we gotta face.

  37. Slow-Jelly-2854

On vacation out of state and was hoping to catch this but wasn’t National unfortunately. Slept through the game and sad to see we lost but it seems we kept it together for the first half and things fell apart in the second. Would have been great to win to keep that cushion for the 1 seed. Buckle in everyone it’s gonna take all they got to hold onto this 1 seed now

  38. TheDuceman

Holy shit the doomerism is in full effect

The Nuggets are the top seed in the west, at home, and we’re on the second game of a road, high-altitude back-to-back.

You’ve got to be able to play through adversity.

Quit bitching, you’ve gotta lose two to win in six.

  39. close2kms

league setting the bucks up with this back-to-back schedule of bad team first and top team second, clearly the game doesn’t count imo 💯

  40. Bucks are one of the few teams who enjoys playing defense & plays hard defense every game. So no wonder their legs gave out in the second half & when your legs are fatigued your shot is affected. Remember that long road stretch mid season (started at Memphis I think) where no one could make a 3. Players were tired.

Come playoffs, they’ll have lots of rest. I’m not worried.
