What is an organization for and what are assistant coaches for if not to be that support? Sounds like a workaholic personal issue to me.

  2. hillsteady

Geez that’s rough. On a personal level, I can only hope that he’s alright.

Ty Lue gets way too much hate/slander tbh. People here want him fired and want to hire our 3rd coach in 5 years since Kawhi/PG arrived and to top it off majority of this sub wants Ime who comes with his own share of baggage/drama.

This has been such a tough season on so many levels

I don’t think the team would have held it against him for taking a personal break.

  5. Salty_Watermelon

If he needs a personal break, that’s perfectly understandable and the team should support him. We have assistant coaches that can take over in the meantime.

But don’t you guys know he’s just been trying to get himself fired so he can join LeBron on the lakers?!?!? Klutch sports pulling all the strings!!! /s

Hope the idiots spreading the false narrative feel like pieces of shit… but ya’ll prolly won’t… keep going on being Doomers and I’ll keep supporting my team

  7. MVPG2022

Yeah pretty disgusting the way he’s been treated by this fanbase and this makes it even worse.

Pussy. See Montrez Harrell. I lost twice that in 2 years including a baby daughter. The world is indifferent, performance and production matter in the work place.

That’s awful to hear. But playing Marcus Morris right now at this point of the season is coaching malpractice, and is a fireable offense

Bruh. Go see you family … you are not that needed. Respectfully.

This guy is a tough motherfucker, with being sick as a Cavs coach and now this…

  12. This changes absolutely nothing.

I have all the sympathy in the world for his situation but the reality of being in a work environment is that you need to be able to find balance between personal and professional. This is no different from any job or person on the planet.

This is why you have support around you. Assistant Coaches, Manager etc.

And your comment on “everyone handles grief differently” is bullshit. He’s a professional. If the way that he’s been coaching is for no other reason than “I needed a distraction” that is egregious.

Again, I sympathise for the man but his inability to balance the two speaks volumes on his management ability.

I hope he understands that his loved ones understand.
