How much of this epic failure falls on Troy Weaver (for misjudging players and how they might fit together) and Dwayne Casey (for not utilizing and coaching the players to support their potential)?
It hasn't failed, because Cade is not out there, please stop putting this narrative out there, dude. SMH
I think they might know this but also realize that it is increasing trade value of the bigs, especially Bagley while also clinching the best lottery odds of any team to guarantee a top five pick. I think it is the right move for now. Even if they started winning it would build nothing with so few key players playing.

You want them to tank with good stats? They are just trying to see who has what… Stats don't matter so much right now… They don't even know who is gonna be on the team next year. You should take vacation until it's time to draft.
How can it be a disaster when we've only had these guys playing together for a couple of weeks. We're obviously tanking as well, so is it suppose to be working right now?
A Top 3 pick and Cade returning next year should take away some of the sting of this year. This team construction and coaching staff remain a mystery.

Seems like you are nitpicking on the three point misses. How bad he is missing doesn't mean much. It could just be mental or it could just be a simple hand positioning adjustment. If you are gonna evaluate his misses let's look at his makes as well. They look good and are often nothing but net. Let's give him until next season to figure it out.
I am not too worried about Wisemen’s bad misses… yet. But if it continued through next season definitely. Still I think it’s enough that you can’t bank on his shooting.

we need a power fwd that can spread the floor, w stew, bagley, wiseman are not floor spacers offensively…stew may develop into that player but its a long shot…wiseman n bagley have no shot at being a floor spacers….wiseman n duren are solid young centers….bagley turned out to be a bad contract…

Good episode with some interesting views. Pistons don't seem sure in which way they want to build this team. There has been no identity established. The backcourt will be the foundation but after that it appears we are trying to fit square pegs in round holes. JMO but I think the minute Cade was found to need season-ending surgery, this was going be a season of experimentation. Yes injuries have played a big part in what Casey has been forced to work with, but can't use as a excuse for some of the performances we have seen both individually & team wise. This may be Troy's most important offseason when it comes to the draft, attracting a FA or 2 & upgrading this roster overall.
