Honestly it’s kinda crazy how little they have achieved with a talent as good as Luka. I think it’s a symptom of a franchise that catered too much to his wants instead of goals as a team/organization. It’s a balance.
Think the biggest travesty was not surrounding him with know how seasoned veterans to rub off some grit and wisdom on Luka early on. He’s going to be the best player on the team, but you need vets that don’t give a fuck and still gonna try him to get even better. I think him teamed up with say someone like Jimbo might put a little chest on his hair and play tougher without bitching and whining all the damn time in games. Also, a coach like Spo wouldn’t be afraid to light his ass up about persistent missed defensive assignments or not following a game plan in favor of hero ball. Luka is amazing, but legit kinda useless off ball which is inexcusable.

I like the mavs. Even when we lost in 2011, they had dirk who is a legend. Now they have Luka who I can’t help but also enjoy watch playing. And mark Cuban is one of my favorite basketball team owners mainly due to his Esport involvement both with league of legends (before that went up in flames) and 2k esports.
Only dislike to them is bringing in kyrie. Still don’t like him.
