@Denver Nuggets

This dude Embiid wasn’t even asked about Jokic twice and yet hating on him. Biggest fake nice guy in the league, atleast commit to being a hater boss.

I certainly didn’t care about MVP, but now I do. I want Jokic to win again, just to have this pussy in tears and all that shithole of a city depressed, because they certainly aren’t doing shit in the playoffs

  2. Jokic rent free in Cameroon and Philadelphia

Idk why but it feels like all this is coming out right before the 76ers @Denver game that he is going to skip?

If thats the case its pathetic

He says there’s less pressure on us like 97% of the NBA world isn’t waiting like piranhas to tear us apart every time we lose a game and say how we’re terrible or whatever.

Even if the Sixers lost the next two games to attain a four-game losing streak they’d get a pass lol.

  4. NoiceForNoReason

You’d think Jokic lived in California because he’s just squatting in Embid’s head and he can’t evict him no matter how hard he tries.

  5. WolfmanWick

Today I learned that Joel Embiid is considered nice. I’ve always thought he was a whiny douchebag

Can we stop turning the NBA into the WWE?

  7. milehighrukus

Joel Embiid is the kid who goes to a friends birthday party and cried that he didn’t get a gift too

  8. birds_over_humans

This is absolutely pathetic. Pretends to not care about MVP one moment, turns around and plays victim the next.

  9. BlueDwarven

Real OG GOATed motherfuckers just let their game do the talking and then the accolades and recognition come on their own. But instead this overgrown beta ass bitch is whining about not making all-defensive teams lmao

I don’t mind that he’s a hater, I’ve always enjoyed Embiid being a troll and having a fiery personality. But I do think that a lot of the toxicity towards Jokic and Denver online flows down from Embiid being very publicly obsessed with them, which can be frustrating to deal with as a fan. Nothing’s going to get settled until one of these guys wins a ring so I wish he’d just leave the media potshots to the commentators.

sad really.. but what i don’t get is him saying “i haven’t won anything so why would there be pressure on me?” it’s like.. well.. that’s exactly why. you should try winning something dude

  12. EchoInExile

They’re talking about the MVP. Of which Jokic is apart of. Y’all are are just grasping at anything now.

  13. burrito_fister

The quotes under the title-or-bust question are actually ridiculous. Just bringing up Jokic out of nowhere, saying Jok hasn’t done anything and all the pressure should be on the Nuggets. “Why is there pressure on me?” What a baby. Thought I was done with petty media narrative BS, but this is from the man himself! Just shut up about MVP already dude! Joker is forced to do just as much media as you, but you won’t get all this media fodder from him

I remember I got downvoted for saying HERE when Embiid made a comment about Jokic and people were saying I was taking it out of context and he meant no disrespect. Nah, Embiid always been been bitter. This whole “I don’t care about the awards” is the most obviously disingenuous thing I’ve seen from Embiid, what’s funny is that Sixer fans can’t see through it; or rather choose not to.

Edit: only some idiots here, not a lot

Analytics and stats are ALWAYS better metrics for evaluation than an “eye test.”

Math doesn’t lie or have emotional investment in an outcome or biases. It’s just math.

  16. -randomwordgenerator

That is why I respect Zhugo but not Embiid

  17. jacqueluvsjakie

I’ve never seen so much hate for Jokic who literally just wants to play basketball. I am super supporter of Jokic’s quiet confidence.

  18. Aromatic_Flounder727

That fool cares more about an mvp than his team and their season. Most valuable player means most valuable to your TEAM! What a fake ass pussy

  19. IntrinsicDawn

“Why is there pressure on me?”

Think most people don’t care about accolades too much and think embiid is a top 10 all time talent at center, and they want him to prove that

  20. GiveAQuack

Jokic loses to Curry and Lebron, Embiid loses to Trae Young. There’s a big gap.

  21. I think the first blurb is mostly fine, they asked him directly about the MVP race and I think he is right that the criteria change year-to-year, because whether people like it or not it can be a narrative-driven award. IIRC, in Jokic’s first MVP season, Embiid missed a bunch of games and Jokic ran away with it because there wasn’t much competition. Last season, Embiid played more but Jokic dragged a bunch of non-NBA players (except AG) to the 6th seed. This year, isn’t Embiid the current favorite? I feel like he’s overtaken Jok in recent weeks.

I don’t even mind if he wins the award, but the whining about it is pretty annoying, and the discourse about it this year is so damn toxic.

  22. Snackmasterjr

this is the type of toxic shit that is making the MVP so miserable.

Do you even watch the games, or do ya’ll just jerk off to your own opinions & comments?
