Doncic needed support so, for that reason, I understand the Kyrie trade. But that's where my understanding begins and ends. It's been even worse than I thought it'd be and I'm sure it's been worse than Cuban & Co could've (but should've) imagined. Worst part is that it has a very high likelihood of getting a whole lot uglier.

Two alphas on a team cannot function. Actually, they can, but Dallas gave up the necessary players during the trade. In order for Dallas to do something, a few years must pass, they are just wasting Doncic like this. Also, Doncic should change his game a little and play less like Harden, basketball is a team sport. However, Doncic is an exceptional basketball player and will bring the title to Dallas, just not this season. Think that Doncic and Jokic would be a good combination that would bring results if they could play together.

That’s what I hated most about the kyrie trade when they first made it. Because to me it seemed like a lose-lose. Either your bad, and u just gave up some solid pieces and a future first for a 2 month rental, or you’re good and you’re forced to offer Kyrie a max, pray he takes it, and then you’re stuck with your team being at the mercy of his wild whims for the next 4 years. Or until he gets bored and forces his way out. Again.
Kyrie can't wait for the season to be over so he could cash in and take a looong vacation, which is what he always wanted
I was fully expecting a team with Luka, Kyrie, Powell and Kleiba to be terrible defensive team. So I can't be disappointed when I knew it wouldn't work whatsoever.
