Took us 5 years to get back to 50 wins and it’s been 50 years since the Wizards have had a 50 win season. So proud of this organization and team.

If our record is any less than what this chart has displayed for 2918, I am going to be a spooky ghost and haunt you.

I absolutely love our team. All around a great group of guys on and off the court. Easy to root for and they play hard as hell. The playoffs are going to be intense and we’ll see what our guys are made of.

Really impressive by Altman. This rebuild never felt quite as hopeless as the post-Bron-era-1 rebuild did, and much of the credit falls solely onto Koby and the moves he’s made. Worst team in the conference to contender in 4 seasons is amazing.

Your “LeBron return era” cell is 1 year too far left, unless you’re considering the year before as part of it for whatever reason

Can’t wait for year 2918 when we get the 4 seed.

From worst, to first. Back to worst. And now to first?

Fourth!?
Bro Philly is within striking distance. Throw a ‘TBD’ up there.

It’s not super likely but we could still end up 3rd instead of 4th.

Ahh the year of 2918.

I agree, go Cavs!

Wait how did we get the 1 pick in 2014?

What’s more impressive (and not represented on this graph) is how competitive the East became during this rebuild. Once LeBron left the East, the Eastern Conference got very competitive and not holds 4 of the top 5 teams in the league.
The Cavs are looking at finishing with ~53 wins which still may leave them 4th in the standings.
They would have won the East a couple of times in recent years. You can find years where 4 teams in the East won at least 50 games (even last year)
But I’m not sure when the last year was when 4 teams won at least 53 games…
Edit: I scrolled back and found that 1997 was the last year where the East had at least four teams win 53 games (5 did that year; almost 6)
2011 almost pulled it off too with the 4th seed winning 52

I’m just impressed the Cavs still exist in 2918, and that Lebron is still carrying!
