I was talking with my dad, and he thinks that there should be some sort of penalty or something for teams who have been in the bottom half of the lottery for several years and have had the 1st or 2d pick in the draft. The piston and rockets have both had high picks the last 3 to 4 years yet they still tank. Very annoying as a spurs fan when I know we actually suck and teams like the pistons and rockets intentionally tank after years in the top half of the lottery.

On good shooting nights they can compete with anyone. I seriously donāt think anyone will fail to re-sign because of these scores. They all get along well and they know their potential. I remember saying this at the very beginning of the season when you guys are happy with the 5-2 kool-aids. It is a tanking season no matter how much old-fashion Spurs fans deny it, we didnāt just suck, we traded away, DJM(donāt feel bad about that now obviously), J-Rich, and Jacob in a single season, the weird line-ups, and sitting players here and there, itās all hints of tanking anyway.As already said tanking is done by the coaching staff, and mostly the FO nowadays, players have nothing to do with that, once theyāre up they just try to win.
Although I know at the end of the day, the fans are gonna love a top 5 lottery pick more than being mediocre as the last few seasons, Iām glad the Spurs are doing the right thing.
The whole team seems to be trusting the process. Spurs won this year as far as chemistry and growth. No matter who they draft, they will be in the playoffs next year. Go Spurs Go!!!
Iāll probably laugh hysterically if we get the 6th pick. I thought tanking was a terrible idea from the start due to a top 3 pick not being promised. Getting the 6th pick with the second/third worst record would further prove it.

I have wanted the tank, so we can put ourselves in the best position of the Draft. It should be a good team next year. It will be a an exciting team if we get Scoot, and a great team in the making if we get Victor.
