This team needs to start flopping or theyll continue to get dominated by physical defenders

Tonight’s tale of two halves sums up the season so far. I don’t want to overreact to a tough b2b loss against the defending champs, but this felt like a must-win. The west is still wide open, but I have zero faith that this team is mentally tough enough to get into the postseason. We pulled ourselves out of the skid we were on, have good mojo going, but a single loss like this could very well be the start of a big losing streak. One loss and now it wouldn’t surprise me if it took another 5 games to get our legs under us.

I don’t know where we go from here. The team does not know how to fight.

This teams needs Taurean Prince to teach them what a rebound is

    Reposting from the game thread

I’m begging this sub to keep a level head after this game. Keep some perspective at least. 2nd half of a B2B. Against the Warriors at home. After a 5 game win streak. We hung in this game til the end. Frustrating, disappointing, but this sub can get unsufferable after a bad loss

    Edit: 5 not 6

  5. legend023

As I said, biggest game of the season, you’re up 20 and you get beat by 35 points in the second half

35 points. In a game where we could’ve proved ourselves and got out of the play-in for the first time in a while.

Our play-in hopes look bleak. Who knows what Luka, Shai or LeBron will do to us if Zion isn’t healthy in those games.

  6. Yadi_Toddy

We imploded after the CJ flagrant and the 5 point possession that followed

What is up with our second half collapses?

Why is Larry shooting back to back threes in the fourth quarter?

I really thought we might pull this out but in reality a lot went our way in the first quarter.

That being said, fuck Draymond Green. His ass should’ve been ejected.

  7. McJumbos

Draymond Green. I hate playing him but would love to have someone like that on our team

  8. BobMarleynthewhalers

An experienced team and an experienced coaching staff beat an inexperienced team and an inexperienced coaching staff.

  9. supa14x

The collapse was BAD but we played a good game against an all time great player on back to back in one of toughest places to play. They’re 30-8 at home this season. This would’ve been great to go up to 6th but this isn’t the end. See y’all Thursday

  10. dalton_k

The amount of plays where no one boxed out their man was crazy. Not the recipe for getting rebounds and it showed in the game. We just looked so lazy on the boards

  11. McJumbos

Lost our composure… Should have won in a rout

  12. _Wado3000

Our offense is so antiquated and terrible. All Warriors did was deny BI the entire game, and we had no decent scheme to depend on. So much stalling when they couldn’t hand the ball off as easy as they were used to. Offense needs to be remade from the ground up, get multiple new coaches on staff

Also, flat out Steph is a legendary player who showed out when his team needed it most. Our guy, who has enough talent to be the future face of the league, has been on the bench the majority of his career.

  13. FlyingSMonster

I expected this loss so I’m not overly concerned. We just have to take care of business on the home stretch. That said, very disappointing loss and another big lead blown away in the 2nd half by complete incompetence, but it really all started with that absolutely brainless move by CJ that led to a 5 point swing. Stupid shit like that cost us all the momentum we had.

  14. Razor-Ramon-Sessions

Some of you need to chill.

The team just collapsed in the 4th. They only had 14 points before garbage time. They didn’t run the offense well at all. The players didnt maintain the same poise they had in the first 2.5 quarters.

    It happens.

Edit: we lost because we reverted to the same iso, limited ball movement, no off ball movement, no cutting off ball offense we ran for 2 months when we sucked. We haven’t been playing that way lately but tonight we reverted. I have faith this team will correct that next game.

  15. scarvana

Fkin hate draymond but he would be great for this team

  16. GoldenVine

This one hurts because we all know Draymond should have gotten his ass thrown out but we are still ok. Tough loss for sure but it’s the second of a back to back and we didn’t have enough in the tank for the last quarter. Once Zion is back, we take the W in a 7 game series.

  17. dumbledorky

Normally I’m not one to complain about or blame the refs, but the fact that Draymond didn’t get ejected after everything he did in the first half is a complete joke. This dude gets away with so much. He could throw a molotov cocktail through Adam Silver’s window on Christmas morning and he’d *maybe* get a $5k fine.

Once that happened I knew the Warriors would make a second half comeback. Oh well, never expected to win this game anyway. 2-1 on this roadtrip, onto the next one.

  18. madamsquirrel7

Just please let me see Zion in the play in.

    That’s all I’m asking.

  19. ZenzeroGrande

Great effort by the guys, 2nd night of a B2B against a team that lets not forget at home have looked every bit the defending champs. Don’t let their road record fool you that’s a damn good team at home.

  20. HyperMovie

An unfortunate collapse but we played well considering it was a b2b. Let’s go next and see how we can do against Denver

  21. BatmanHive

That is a 30-8 team at home that was also fighting for their lives. It hurts to lose after being up 20 but it is what it is. Forget this loss and play with the same 1st half effort rest of the games.

  22. BasketTimely

Y’all were fine. It’s the Warriors at home. They just don’t lose. I definitely wasn’t expecting to win this game but they fought hard and just unfortunately fell apart in the 2nd half.

But for the love of god can Willie have BI bring the ball up. We wasted half of the possession each time just trying to get him the ball.

AND BOX THE FUCK OUT PLEASE AND THANK YOU

  23. I think the intensity got to us a little bit after the CJ flagrant, we stopped playing level headed and got sloppy.

  24. JakeGittes74

Never been so mad after a game. I don’t know what to do with myself

  25. Ok-Requirement5256

look I just really hate golden state warriors and the New England patriots. Like can I just see another team get the spotlight for once. can I just not hear about Tom Brady or Lebron James or Steph Curry. I love an underdog story. not seeing the same dynasty team over and over for most of my life.

  26. BurntHamSandwich

Very unfortunate night but that clip of Herb being apathetic to Draymond and then telling him he’s being subbed out earned Draymond a life sentence in the Pelitentiary

  27. Vince3737

We looked like shit and choked hard. BUT we were on a back to back, playing the defending champs on the road. Its not time to meltdown. This was going to be a tough one to win

  28. otter-box-17

This was a Jax game he need attest like 6-8 minutes in the 2nd

  29. DankSinatraSr

63-46 at halftime and we lost. I appreciate the optimistic fans but that’s an embarrassing loss after having upwards of a 20 point lead at one point.

That second half was sloppy and the adjustments were poor. I mean I love Larry Nance but he should NEVER be taking BACK TO BACK 3 point attempts in the 4th quarter of such a huge game.

Also Draymond is and always will be a bitch.

    Rant Over. See y’all Thursday.

  30. cnotesound

Trey Murphy should have had 17 shots instead of cj

  31. shahsnow

The only thing that helps this loss is knowing Zion will be back, even if it’s just against the Wolves to end the season

  32. TrusttheProcess13

A lot of good in this game, a lot of bad but Jesus BI needs to sell an off ball foul or he’s going to get held like this every game down the stretch

  33. gutsxcasca

Looney kept them alive in the 3rd quarters with his rebounding.

  34. BaronsDad

The Pelicans are 2-17 against .500 or better teams since the 76ers game when Zion got hurt.

One of those wins and one of those losses was against the now below .500 Mavericks. If we remove the Mavericks, we’re 1-16 with only a win over the Kings.

The remaining 6 games this season is against teams .500 or better. If the team wants to make the playoffs, they have to start beating winning teams now.

  35. _lonelypenguin_

CJ gets paid too much to go 0-5 in the 4th and 0 assists in big games. Dude is not clutch.
