I believe Dame will go down as one of the greatest if he joins the Knicks. Ain't nothing like playing in MSG and Dame will put on a show… pic.twitter.com/5kkrTzeit2

feels nice to be set at PG. Lillard is a great player but him and Brunson together would not be good defensively. He’ll be 33 soon, and he’s starting to miss a ton of games every year now. Hard pass.
He’s already considered one of the best to do it. He’s on the top 75 list.
I feel like Portland and Dame are kind of trapped together. Even if Portland wanted to burn the whole thing down, how could they possibly get fair value for Lillard? No rebuilding team is going to want him — he’s proven he can’t drag a team into the playoffs by himself — and any Phoenix-like team, which might be looking for someone like Lillard to take them over the top, likely has a good backcourt already.
Dame is great, but it’s too late.
If a dame to nyk trade were going to happen, it would’ve happened earlier. That boat has sailed already especially with Jalen in the fold. Dame should’ve requested out, he might’ve been here
Dame doesn’t fit with Brunson

The cool part of this vid is KG saying Quick is one of his favorite young players to watch.
No fitty no wanty
Hard pass on Dame. Defense is on the level of Trae, injury prone, and again, gutting the roster for a “superstar” that is good at scoring isn’t going to make us better. Incremental moves for us is working or Portland would need to be fair to both parties with a deal that doesn’t kill us.
If Dame wanted that he should have made the push to come over with Hart. Could have happened.
Cannot believe I’m saying this but, I’m good on that
We good.
If we had a time machine, then ok.
No thanks.
Him and Brunson won’t work but maybe Dame to Boston, Brown to the Knicks and whatever players/picks to Portland👀👀
Maybe if it was 2-3 years ago I’d be up for it
yes because we would win a championship
Na you had your chance I’m loyal to Lord Brunson now
That’s gonna be a no from me dawg. He’s getting old and we need to find a much younger “star” to come in for us to take that next step.
Also according to KG: his Celtics teams were the greatest dynasty in NBA history despite only one title
He’s 53 years old… I don’t care if he scored 70 this year… I’m not gutting my roster and my future roster, for two seasons of fun. Not to mention we would have absolutely nobody to partner him with so we would suck… We would be watching one guy put up 25 ppg for 2 years then we would never make the playoffs and then our team would fall off a cliff
Fuck it. Dame as the SG lol
Thankfully PG is no longer a position of need. If we were to sell the farm for a star, it’d have to be someone like Brown.
Spent 10 years in and around Portland after growing up in NY. Dame is never gonna leave.
Why do we need Dame when we have Brunson and Quick???
He should stay right where he is.
That ship has sailed.
I mean. he scores points like it’s nothing. No one would deny that he’s a great one
I’m getting PTSD flashbacks of getting big name players for too big a price and too late in career.
This is why they shouldn’t let ex NBA players (especially stars) near a front office let alone let them be GMs, I would not trade Quickley straight up for Dame at this time simply because Dame is old and he’s injury prone and on terrible contract and (oh, yeah) he plays the EXACT SAME position as Brunson does, Quickley should probably be our starting 2 right now but that’s a discussion for another day.
I’ll think about that kind of outlay of capitol if someone was offering a serious big wing who is a number one option
We good
Why people keep talking about Dame?
He was very clear in the JJ podcast he doesn’t believe in ring chasing and joining super teams. He’s loyal to Portland, all his extended family is there.
Well if KG says it…
I don’t think KG is suggesting anyone thinks it’s a good idea for him to come here, himself included. He’s just comparing the effects that different markets have on player perception. I get his point here, but it’s totally overstated.
Dame is never ever ever leaving Portland. He’ll likely be remembered as one of the greatest players to ever win a chip, unless the Trail Blazers pull off the miraculous and build a contender around him, despite his enormous salary.
RJ picks and cap fillers
That would be like when Melo came. I think they would be the same age too.
So down to get Dame. If the year was 2018. *Checks calendar* oh, look at that, it’s not Dame time
Anybody doing the remotest bit of hating on Lillard or comparing Brunson to him is either delusional or doesn’t watch the NBA. Lillard is an alien.
I want Dame to go to the Twolves. They could trade KAT as the centerpiece. I think a roster of Dame, Ant, and Gobert would be better than Ant, KAT, and Gobert. Then the Blazers would get younger and could build around KAT, Simons, Sharpe, as well as more young talent through the draft.
Another exceptional talent whose window has closed on him, with respect to becoming a Knick. His contract is bloated and his defense is sus. Like Luka, I don’t believe Thibs would know how to utilize Dame, and I doubt Thibs could get either Luka or Dame to play respectable defense.
I would just as soon not look to gut the team for either Luka or Dame.
I don’t like the combination of Dame and Brunson, it just wouldn’t work. The player we need is someone like a Devin Booker or Jaylen Brown.
