when curry-klay-poole-kumminga are playing well in the same game miracles happen
Just watched the game cause I couldn’t last night and I just want to shout out Kuminga. His defense was stifling. There were several times in the second half where he was just clearly frustrating Ingram. You need stops to have runs and he really helped deliver on that end. He did exactly what the team needed on offense too: got his buckets in the flow of the game and didn’t force anything.
Kuminga has been playing great since the ASB, but I think this may have been one of his best overall games. He didn’t look lost out there at all despite the stakes and intensity. Extremely promising glimpse of what we could see in the playoffs. I’m pumped.
All these remaining games are playoff games. Make no mistake. They had to play that second half with utter desperation to win.
We can’t never thank Looney enough. Everyday doing the hard work. Our Iron Man! 💪💪 of course Curry doing his usual Superman effort for the team. Good job for the entire team. Especially on the 2nd half. 👏👏👏
What does everyone think of Kerr’s challenge use
~4 minutes left in the game to overturn the out of bounds pelicans ball with 4 seconds left on the shot clock.
Obviously fine with it knowing how the game ended but thought it could have been used much more effectively. 4 seconds on the clock inbounding possession doesn’t give the pelicans much time to create a good look.
If he were going to use it that early I’d rather he had used it on the play Draymond got his 5th foul so we didn’t risk him fouling out and it becomes Draymond FTs. Otherwise, keep it for a play with a definite point swing closer to the end of the game.
Didn’t feel like it was particularly maximised, could have bitten us in the ass if Draymond fouled out or the Pelicans got hot/got some ref shenanigans in their favour
The Pels are sons but they got sonned pretty fuckin hard
Rooting for Bulls tomorrow like it’s 1997
One of my favorite things about Loon is that when he gets an offensive rebound, he rarely loses it in traffic/gets stripped and has such a good sense of when to go up for an easy 2 or when to kick out to an open teammate to maintain the possession. Literally never throws up a bad push or hook shot looking for the glory to score. Such an egoless player I love him so much
Gotta admit the team showed legit fight in that fourth. Respect.
The defense they have shown these last two teams has been legitimately high level playoff defense and gives me hope for a run no matter what the final seeding is, particularly if Wiggins comes back.
Just have to stay out of the playin so things aren’t left to a single game elimination.
How did they comeback in the second half?
Anyone else sleep much better after a 2nd half like that?
If it had been a repeat of the 1st, I’d be waking up all WTF!?
