Steve Clifford said today that Mark Williams, Nick Richards and Kai Jones will be rotating at the center position moving forward – two will play, one will sit each game

Tomorrow in OKC, Richards and Jones will play, Williams will sit (Richards sat Sunday vs. Dallas)

I mean, I get it. But still, this should be between Kai and Nick. Why is Mark always a part of this? Richards got uninterrupted backup minutes a majority of the season. Then when Mark finally got put in the rotation, he had to sit every 3rd game for Richards without good reason. Now he’s having to give up development time AGAIN when, while he’s clearly the best of the 3, he still needs to gain experience on the floor. Clifford is so frustrating. Mark should be starting every game.

Love it. Kai has so much potential inside

Listen I would prefer for Kai to just rotate with Nick on the bench and let Mark play starter mins

Why not let Mark Williams start every game and build on his experience?

So it looks like the April 7 game against Houston will be Williams/Richards? That’s good, I will be in attendance.

The only good thing about this is the team views Kai as a 5 going forward. Which is his better position and we don’t have to deal with him sitting in the corner anymore on Offense

  8. Kai is si awkward fo us to develop caught between 4 and 5. Kinda wish we’d try and turn him into Giannis-lite, run and dunk and sometimes defend off the bench sounds alright?

Mark and Nick at the 5 and PJ and JT at the 4 leaves not a lot of room for him sadly

Odd choice to do. Especially when it seemed like Steve forgot about Kai after picking up two fouls in the first quarter on Sunday. Practically removed him from the rotation after
