Basketball-Reference’s playoff probabilities tool now gives the Celtics just a 13.2-percent chance of landing the top seed. They are considered 83.8-percent likely to finish second, 2.9-percent likely to finish third and have an extremely small chance of sliding into fourth.

Oh well
My brain tells me we have 0 percent chance of landing the top seed. Even if we beat the Bucks on Thursday, they still have to lose 2 more games and we need to go undefeated to catch them.
Suboptimal outcome, if true.
I’m honestly surprised it’s that high to get #1 at this point.
Bucks could realistically lose to us, Philly and Grizzlies but I don’t trust us to win out at this point either so
As long as we’re healthy we can beat anybody. The losses are frustrating but not concerning. We almost always play well against top teams, and lose against teams we should win because of lack of effort.
If we play the Bucks in the playoffs we will just have to steal Game 1 or 2 so they lose home court. I hope we get to the playoffs healthy, most importantly.
Home court means fuck all in today’s NBA. We lost that shit in game 1 of last year’s Bucks series, and then proceeded to regain it in game 4, choke it away in game 5, and regain it in game 6 when Tatum went God mode. Against Miami we choked away game 6 on our home floor. And we all know how the finals played out.
If you read this sub it would seem like we’re missing the playoffs
It is more important for us to be healthy and prepared for the playoffs than to get homecourt advantage against one team we are not guaranteed to play at this point
idrc we play who we play. love and trust always. im so fucking bored of the regular szn
And Miami is projected to be the 7 seed smh
Either way 100% chance of 2nd round exit
I’m scared we might even go back to 3 just because of how quickly seedings change
Our loss to the Wizards pretty much erased any chances of us getting the no.1 seed
Most pathetic losses this season:
1. Orlando at home (Rob’s first game)
2. Orlando at home Vol. 2
3. Blown out by Indiana at home (fake comeback)
4. OKC without Shai hangs 150 on us
5. Knicks at home (JB free throw game)
6. Blown out by Phoenix w/o Booker at home
7. Blown 28 point lead vs Brooklyn at home
8. Immanuel Quickley game (another blown lead)
9. Grant “Ima make both” Williams game
10. At Houston
11. At Utah (another blown lead)
12. Blown out at Washington w/o Beal and Kuzma

It’s absolutely maddening that we literally would’ve ran away with the 1 seed if we hung on in just half of these games, a third even
